So Noodles 30 days left and you have still not explained how you came up with this number I am now following for you.
I have grown illegally for most of my life. What about this government thing, makes you think one cannot just go back to doing that? Some folks make the best of a bad situation. Other will complain till its to late to do anything. I must, say I think with fondness all ready for the future, looking back at the time I grew weed legally. Will even have the paperwork to prove it. Wicked. Good luck hiding in your closet all scared and shit. Peace GS

in a lucid flash consider that the conservatives are in power until 2015 . then some party would have to align himself in order to defeat the cons....last may we failed big fucking time and have to hope on such thing is not an option at this point .

Like I said I will just go back to growing my meds underground. I chose that before, no qualms going back. This thread was supposed to be about tips for designated growers. People like me, that have decided they would rather grow quality meds for a friend, than have them rely on the government supply. It already takes a certain kind of person to choose this. Most of these folks are not politically oriented. Peace GS

It gives me peace of mind and it gives my landlord even more peace of mind knowing that my home insurance is valid. It took me a while to find "specialty" insurance that would 100% cover my needs. Scott is a good guy too. Easy to talk to you. *I'm in no way working for them either.

GS, cheif- great contributions so far. The criminal check and home insurance are both really helpful pieces of info, and I'm sure many people will benefit from them.
The ballast 'deal' from BChydro I am not so sure about... they are offering a rebate so that you'll replace your 1000W ballasts with 600w's, and less demand will be placed on the hydroelectric grid. I'm not sure many growers will be wiling to make the change, given that flower yield is directly correlated with wattage.

600s are the bomb, and I know lots of people with old mag ballasts around so I found that very helpful!
Here is a clinic on Nanaimo and Hastings in Vancouver called the Medical Cannabis Resource Center. I hear they have signed folks class 1's, but have also signed for anxiety and depression. Peace GS

arent 99% of users non medicinal? i wonder what % of those claiming medicinal use are fibbing, i mean really, anxiety and depression? is sugar a drug? is anxiety a medical condition?

This deal might be more appealing if they offered to replace the 1000w HID light with a High-Output LED.
I would love to add some LED supplemental lighting if I could reduce the outrageous price tag.

I dont actually know of anyone in canada with a med prescription for depression or anxiety. That seems like a cali issue. Maybe Im wrong, but it seems way harder here to get your license. There are not too many doctors and specialists willing to sign off on those conditions. Therefore, I assume that our % of true users is much higher.

PTSD is anxiety related. If you are asking if anxiety is a medical condition, I would say doctors prescribe pills daily for anxiety and depression. Peace GS

Im not arguing if its a symptom and just saying that I have never heard of anyone getting a card for plain anxiety or depression. PTSD is a lot more complex. In places like cali you can get a card if being a parent makes you anxious and other ridiculous symptoms.

See a few remarks about the reason some ppl. get a grow liscense...I met a young guy who at age 23 got a ticket to grow because he mangled one of his toes with a chain-saw,while with myself at 62 yrs old couldn,t get a pass to grow,and I have hepC liver cirrhosis,severe arthritis,fibromyalgia,chronic depression...but it never stopped me from growing my own meds.When the laws pass in the months to come I,ll continue to grow,and if I get busted and am facing mandatory jail time,I,ll be sick every day I,m supposed to show up in court...I,ll drag it out til they get sick of me not showing up and I won,t be lying as I am sick every day.
Another thing for certain is a fair percentage of ppl with a card do grow and sell a big piece of their yield...why not,it is human nature to try to get ahead.I know a couple of ppl. with cards who don,t smoke or use what they grow...but they always have a wad of cash in their pocket.It,s like anything,that is easy to manipulate.My poor old mother always said "ppl. will ride a free horse to death"..
I do hear a lot of stories of ppl.with grow cards who,ve been busted with hundreds of plants while their cards would say they were allowed 15/20 plants.Not everybody is totally going to go by the rules and perhaps that is the reason we are looking at the Cons taking your right away to grow your own medicine.But it still doesn,t make it right because there are many many ppl. out there who do grow for the medicine and not the money.
I don,t know how a person could fix the situation.
