Dual 126 watt LED, 600 watt digital comparison grow.

I received my lights a few days ago. Thanks LED girl for the fast shipping. I was also given 14 killer queen plants from a good friend that are ready to flower. He will be helping me with this grow and monitoring the growth of the plants.

I can say at this time the plants vegging under the LED lights are very happy and the leaves are all leaning upwards. I like the airflow they get from the fans. Not a lot, just enough to keep the air slightly moving. Eventually I would like to take the eight healthiest and flower 4 under the 600 watt digital and 4 under the led lights.

I will come back with better details and some pics in a day or so.

what type of light were they veged under from ur friend? also how many led lights are u going to use?

They were vegged under two 600 watt digitals. At the moment I have eight plants under 2 126 watt led's and 6 plants under 1 600 watt digital. I have had them like this for 4 days now and I'll put them on 12, 12 starting tomorrow.

Pics or it didn't happen, lol. That is a good friend to give you 14 Killer Chems ready to flower, I know I don't have the space to do that for even the best of friends.

So sorry to everyone for the delay. Life has been hectic the last week.

I decided to cut way down on the amount of plants. I have 5 under the LED lights and I'm keeping 3 under the 600 digital. I'm surprised as all hell but the plants under the LED's are out growing the 3 under the 600. I have had to raise the lights twice on the LED and only once on the 600. The plants are really healthy.

I promise to get some pictures very soon and I hope everyone's grows are going well.

why not keep the same plant numbers under each light? Its only fair that way

I agree. I think this grow should be as scientific as possible to really make a point. The environments under both lights should be identical.

Just a suggestion. Can't wait for the pics too.

The HPS and the LED look kinda psychedelic together, nice photos.

Are my eyes deceiving me or are the hps plant bushier, but droopier?
Is there much of a difference in watering schedules?

On pics: try double clicking the image you want to post in the album window, below the opened image are two lines, copy the second line or "BB" code and paste into your post. At least that works for me, lol.

As you can see, they need to be put into bigger pots. The plants under the HID's were pretty dry and I was getting ready to water them.

I think the plants under the LED's are healthier, but there's really not a lot of difference at this point. I was skeptical but they are really impressing me at this point.
