Hey growers! hope your having a good season! this is my first season and i think its going pretty well for a noob lol i am having one issue though, one of my big girls has some leaves turning yellow from the bottom up to around the middle with small brown spots. what is going on? to much water? too much nitro? there are just now beginning to bud and they look beautiful. i just dont wana lose her! please help! sorry for no pics, i own an iphone and i have read it isnt good idea to bring it along since they apparently can track your where you have gone. any advice will help this noob out! thanks alot!:tiphat:

Is it all, or only some of the lowers?

I pull lots of lowers off when they start turning yellow as they are used up.

the tops where the buds are look healthy.(its an lsd plant) from the bottom up till about the middle of the plant but the leaves that are yellow are under in the middle of the bush some on the outside could it be lack of sunlight? i have given her a feeding of nitro organic about a month ago shes maybe a little over a week into flowering she looks good except for those leaves. ive been reading about it and i have seen from nitro deficiency to root rot to just naturally happening from the plant using those leaves as food.

there's another thread running presently about the same problem.

sativa (if yrs are sativa?) will lose its fan leaves naturally. this begins at commencement of flowering and will continue until there are only a few leaves left. this is not a worry.

brown spots? well, could be just part of the leaves' dying process but I 'm thinking that a feed once a month is not enuf so could be potash shortage too. give them a feed of flowering nutes.

good luck!

Make sure it isnt blight or leaf spot disease igrow4. If it is, while youre standing around wondering it willl kill your plants. You might check out the sticky at the top

One of the biggest clues is that yellowing also is occurring on leaves further up the plant.
Lets keep our fingers crossed that its just a nute problem.

ds i looked at some pics on blight adn spot disease and thankfully they dont look anything like that lol there more of a bright yellow than a dead brown yellow and a few didnt even look withered much. and they indicas i am going to hit them with flower the next time im out and hopefully take some pics to better explain thanks for the help!:tiphat:

My sativa does this. Normal looking leaves at the bottom turning yellow. I just wait until they just pluck off and throw then on top of my dirt to recycle :D
