Xtrasun ballast question

My cheapo vivosun 600w bulb is almost flickering. I need a new bulb anyways.

My blue xtrasun ballast says to use only hps or mh 600w bulb.

Does that mean I can use a regular mh bulb, or a mh conversion bulb made for hps ballast?

I'm going to try switching to bluer mh last few weeks

Any 600W MH or HPS bulps will most likely light up from that ballast, even with magnetic ballast most will light both types.
