Which ACE sativa?

I'm looking for a sativa to grow hydro in an ebb & flow system in a group of about 10 plants under 2 600W lights. I want something with super potency and very euphoric. Something that really puts a smile on your face and lasts a long time. I have other strains for a body stones/pain relief.

I prefer feminized just because I don't have the room to sex them out anymore without losing other "keepers." The ones that have my attention are Zamaldelica, Panama, Golden Tiger, and Bangi (non fem though). Which would be the best choice given what I'm looking for (euphoria, uber-potency, good in hydro, solid yield/bud density) ??? I'd like to keep the flowering time around 12-13 weeks at the longest.

Congo would finish in that time and was a problem - free grow. The experience is somewhat average, but cleaner than clean when it comes to focus and mood elevation. It's like herbal zanex for me...

Zamaldelica standard is going to be scary high, borderline shroomy. Personally, I consider its effects too much for everyday smoke - not the best thing to reach for after a long work day. The fems I haven't dealt with, but they lack the thai influence so they should be more Malawi (heavy, narcotic sativa) than up, alert and clear. Even still, I would expect Dumbo's pink elephants on parade from this one. 13-15 weeks flowering.

Panama is the most positive, most confident, most "I got this" smoke I've ever had. Almost similar to being buzzed on alcohol confident. Its yields well and finishes in about 12-14 weeks.

Golden Tiger is strong, clear (thai) but heavy(malawi), semi narcotic on the comedown. Be warned, they are HUGE plants when they get going. 13-15 weeks-ish.

Bangi I have no experience with.

You may also want to check out NepJam. They're all smiley, dopey, and mellow. Depending on whether you get a Jamaican or Nepalese pheno, they'll either be more energetic or more indica-ish, but expect a solid high with a smile on your face and a general interest in watching cartoons / movies. I've found the Nepalese side is very good for insomnia, the Jamaican is great for mindless tasks that don't involve power tools. Large yield, nice honey/caramel smell from this one as well. Figure 10-13 weeks for those.

Thanks kindly for the info. Panama sounds the most intriguing from your descriptions. Just so long as it's got long lasting, strong potency (ie not just a slight mood enhancer) it sounds like what I'm looking for. Confident, happy, "the world is awesome" cannabis. I'm not a huge user anymore (Nowadays I vape maybe once or twice each night, smoke occasionally) but I really want my cannabis experiences to be powerful and memorable. Quality over quantity.

I've got very strong hybrids and indicas for the stoney side of things so GT and ZD sound more downer/confusing/big crash - at least after the initial burst. How does the Panama yield and did you grow indoors? Thanks again for the wonderful help sir.

Somewhere in my head, there's a short "must grow" list. Ace Panama is on it. Central/ South American Sativas have a quality all their own, & I'm sure that Ace has done them justice.

Terpene man, your descriptions are priceless and i always enjoy and learn something when i read your comments, props to you brutha.

i will be ordering some Panama this summer, but i have grown, tried and really enjoyed Purple Haze from Ace. the buzz is very nice, up beat enough to still get stuff done, a bit trippy but not over done and without feeling like heading in for a nap. lol

i dont think anyone can go wrong with any Ace variety and down the road i'm also looking forward to growing my F1s from Purple Haze x Mazar both from Ace, that should be interesting, figured i would name them Hazar, to keep it simple and descriptive. :dance013:

I knew I'd get in trouble for saying it was similar to shrooms eventually. So to clarify:

In the distant past(yeah I'm old and those days are over), about 40 minutes after ingesting shrooms you get a gut tightening, "oh crap, things just got real" feeling deeply moving within you which I assuming is the diaphragm tensing up. Similar to the "ooooohhhh sh****t" feeling you get right as you leave the ground cliff jumping or riding a roller coaster on the initial big drop.

The spindly thai/zamal phenos had this effect in spades, the more malawi leaning phenos were more subdued and less terrifying - more "dense" than trippy, if that makes sense. I kept referring to the gut tightening as "the fear" (from fear and loathing) because it does tend to make you a bit scared of what is going to happen next. Also, the fact you're like 10/10 high doesn't help the being scared bit (very similar to having too many good sativa brownies).

From the onset of effect, Zamaldelica is very energetic and clear - but its trippy to the point you loose track of reality around you. I call it "semi-visual replacement". Its not complete visual replacement like strong hallucinogenics or salvia, but you tend to think of things which get you day dreaming and those day dreams somehow become more important that what you're really looking at. Almost like visualizing something as an overlay to what you're really seeing if that makes sense. It's easy to snap out of, but without conscious effort, you drop right back into that state. I got the visual 2 frames per second tracer-ish effect quite often - similar to when the main characters in the movie "Friday" get really baked.

Throughout the duration of the high, a strong rhythmic body "wah" runs through your bones/nerves almost like alternating current but massively slowed down. It seemed to roll through me in a circular fashion which is why I compared it to being a surfing photographer inside a tube wave.

Like I said, Zamaldelica is a great experience, but its not the thing to reach for when you're looking to relax. In fact, its a very "disclaimer moment" type of smoke that requires a commitment because of its strength/fear/intensity, similar to taking anything else that you might consider advanced.

Everyone including myself likes tracers. Which is why I love pure sativas. The first time I smoked it was as if time stopped and my mind was free. After laughing uncontrollable for 3 to 4 hours I started to come to an realize where I was. My girlfriernd at the time is the one who turned me on to cannabis, she was sitting beside me at that moment. In my mind I saw all kinds of crazy things, however she said I was laughing the entire time. It was low grade sativa she was guessing, it didn't look special. Till this day I have never even been close to that high again. We can all dream though right?

Currently finishing up CBG Panama red and World of Seeds Columbian gold. Both looking an smelling insane.

Hi smk8000,

We always breed our strains organically and that's the way we recommend to grow them but it's just our personal preference, honestly my experience with hydro is quite limited. But you shouldn't have any problem growing our sativas in hydro, indeed sativas root system are very mold resistant, quite more resistant than hybrids with strong indica influence. Just try to don't overfertilize till you find the EC and nutrients levels that work best in your hydro setup.

Thank you all for the great strain recommendations, i think you cannot go wrong with Zamaldelica, and is available in feminized format although there are only few packs left at the moment!
