As said , beer traps , sharp sand will work well but your problem ( & I`m not sure on your location as we are suffering UK from the mild wet winter ) the soil is full of slug eggs . I know it can cost a bit but may be worth considering as it`s generally 100% effective in clearing the ground is Biological control (Nemotodes) .
