What's the popular progression in pot size to final container?

I've always had good luck going from dixie cup, to 1 gal for around 3-4 weeks, then straight to 30 gal fabric pots. Being carefull not to overwater till the plants are filled in to the pot.

I start my cuttings in a 4inch then keep them in a 1gal to shape them until they are just about 'root bound '(or keep them in a 2.5/3.5gal the same way). Then they finish their life cycle in a 10, 15, or 20 gal depending on who or how many I have of each type. Usually run about 15 to 40 plants at a time.
