Sam_Skunkman said:Cool, I am a believer. I never kept mothers around so long as a single plant, I have clones I have had for over 20 years, but I re-clone them each year. I put them in soil under long photoperiod each spring and let them go by years end I have plants that are 15 feet tall, I make new clones and trash the big one, replaced by a new cutting from the big mom. I found it the easiest way to keep a clone library alive with very little maintenance, but I have a lot of space.
I am amazed that Cannabis will live so long if not flowered, I really had no idea, as I had no need to keep them alive more then a year or so. This is really handy for people that want to keep a lot of diversity around in a small space for a long time.
I think the reason my stalks were so much bigger from one year of growth is they were really big plants grown in the soil with no root trims, maybe I might top the plant to give me more time until I had to replace it, but I just let it grow veg...and they got big!
Thanks for sharing the info....
