what to do with dead crabs

One way to accelerate the break-down is to leave the pile of crabs outdoors.

Flies will do their thing and soon you will have a seething mass of maggots.

If you bury THAT, those maggots will never become flies but will become compost.

If it was my first time composting crabs, I would be inclined to keep them separate from my 'primo' worm compost pile.

It sounds gross, but it's not as gross as composting 500 pounds of dead cow.

Yeah coba i did and still am. I tried several different ways most smelled like death but burying them in cowshit keeps the smell down and within 2 months theyre just remnants. Im still experimenting though

I couldn't reccomend what to do with 100lb of crab per week, but a few crabs, fish heads and oyster shells are a must in any new compost pile I make. Variety is what makes good compost.
There's alot of bad info in this thread btw.
