The hardest working man in the business. Love to watch him dance and have seen this video a few times.
Absolutely. He surrounded himself with some of the best musicians and was reported to be quite hard on them. A young Bootsy Collins in that clip I believe. Funkadelic/Parliament ended up with a few of Brown's cast off musicians.

The 3-piece band that began and ended in Fairbanks nearly 20 years ago. With a founding member being the previously mentioned guitarist now with Steve Brown and the Bailers. Heavy bass (can't remember his name) and Cliff on percussion, with Dave on guitar.

Last Homegrown Alaska band for a bit. These guys were one of the tightest 'Newgrass'/'jam bands'/'rock bands' in Alaska back during some of the early legalization efforts. Saw them at the Moose's Tooth Pizza Restaurant in Anchorage with some former friends, and they played a fund-raiser for 'Free Hemp In Alaska' in Hope, Ak., in about 2000 or 2004.

Our legalization crew couldn't get them to play up in the Interior for us, but I was always impressed with them.

A tight band that started out as a few friends in Girdwood, Alaska (known to some of us in the later 1970s during the heyday of the Ravin Decision as 'Girdweed', before it got too built up).

Very talented and laid back folks.

The Photon Band. Aka 'The Photonz'

Fast forward to about the 2 minute 40 second mark to skip some dead air. (Lots of local photos and tour photos in the video).

(*The recording consists of multiple sets on the evening of the show referenced, lasting over 4 hours total, so roll a doobie or 2.. or 3.. if you're so inclined, crack a coffee, put on a pot of beer, or both..). :)
