Seen some monthly bills in excess of $5k, to reduce bill, half the lights were shut off the last week of flower, and they rotated with the off lights, an overlap as each one came on, the other light shut off 30 seconds later. There are several ways to manipulate the lights off and on during the light cycle to reduce power consumption but not reduce the the outcome from the plants. A PLC controlled panel or timerboard can allow 100s of options.
4k, and all the accompaniments to running that, runs about $800 a month, in the winter, and $1200, in the summer. We ran 2k in another region, and it was about $300 in the summer. We ran 10k, in another region, and it was $1000, in the summer, and $600 in the winter. Different regions have drastically different costs, it just depends on where you are.
