What Indica plant complements Kali Mist?

Allow me to explain. I am planning out a perpetual harvest grow with two strains, an indica and a sativa. I want to stagger the harvests of the two plants so that I harvest an indica one week and a sativa the next. For this to work, I have surmised that I would need similar flowering times for both strains. I am growing for quality (potency, thc%, etc), and that is the only variable that matters to me besides flowering time. Yield, vegetative growth period, etc can be ignored.

So far, I have chosen Kali Mist as my sativa strain. The flowering time is listed as 70-90 days

What I'm looking for right now is an indica strain with a flowering time similar to Kali Mist. The high that I desire is 100% wtfbbqroflmaopwnage. I want to smoke this and have my face melt off. Yes, I mean literally melt off and drip all over the place. I want my property covered in face.

With that said, what indica strains would you suggest?

Thank You for any and all input.

Addendum: If you have any suggestions for a sativa strain that is better than Kali Mist (I'm looking for major creativity boosters for my sativa strain) please let me know.

I'm not really all that knowledgable on indicas but I can't recall anything in indicas with that long a flowering time, you're talking 10-13 weeks with Kalis and I just went 14 weeks to a good finish.

As far as I know, indicas tend to be of much shorter flowering times than these sorts of long term equatorial based sativas. I think Taskenti from Canabiogen is one of the longer flowering indicas I've seen around, bred closely from the famous Uzbekistani indica. Very potent and a major contributor to the potency of Charlies 'La Mula'(the mule), which is an exciting project he's been working on for some time.

If I were choosing an indica to replicate the opposite effect to Kali, I might be going for something like Black Domina from Sensi or even BOG's Lifesaver would be a good one but neither of these would remotely fit into your time structure.

Hope this is of some help.

Black Domina is not much of an indica, it just can ripen like one. It flowers more like a sativa, all sorts of spindly. I think Black Indica has a lot of sativa character, if it's not a table why care?

qanabose: I've considered that actually, and if need be I was thinking along the lines of starting to flower the indica and sativa strains at the same time. Provided that the flowering time only deviates by approximately one week, I can still manage my original plan of harvesting a sativa then an indica. Additionally, for this to schedule out properly, I would have to flower them every two weeks instead of every week.

Following that logic, it would be possible to offset the difference in flowering times by starting to flower the indica plant a couple weeks after the sativa or in some other combination. The only problem with this is I would have to maintain a convoluted flowering schedule (at least, this is what I anticipate).
Therefore, I'm hoping to find something that will suit my needs with a similar flowering period.

However, the main purpose of my grow is quality, and if a mind-bending flowering schedule is something that I need to deal with, then so be it.

BurmeseDragon: I've heard some good things about Black Domina, but I was wondering if you could clarify what you mean? When you say "Black Domina isn't much of an indica" are you referring to the effects of smoking it or the growth characteristics?

Thank You all for your reply's :D

1000ARMSofKALI: Now that is interesting... Too bad I can't read what they're saying, I'm guessing that's... Russian? Oh well, I guess I'll have to rely on the pictures.

Anyway, thanks for the input. However, would allowing BD to flower for 70+ affect the potency of the bud? I've read somewhere that over-flowering your plants can have a negative effect on the trichomes. It said something related to the color of the trichomes themselves, about how allowing them to turn past amber colored prior to harvesting causes the trichomes to degrade? I'll try to find that article and post a link...

hey i said there are phenos, and there is 77days+ pheno, here is black domina taken at 79days from clone, no joke http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?p=1552650&highlight=black+domina#post1552650
check the whole thread because of education of yourself....

black domina smoke report:

for me legendary threads...

note: Russian write in AZBUKA, different letters...

so from that above:laughing: you see theres pheno of black domina which doesnt lose potency in 70+ days but opposite...

high all!

yeah, black domina could/should work, needs normaly around 65 days... if you selecting from new kali mist seeds, you might find the chunkier more indy phenotype of kali mist, which goes 65 - 75 days...
another option would be double dutch or chronic, both have phenotypes which need around 60-65 days... white rhino should work too...

1000ARMSofKALI: You caught me, I completely missed that you mentioned the phenotypes. I'll do some more research into Black Domina, as it definitely sounds like a strong contender. Thanks for the thread links too.

purple_man: I've smoked both White-Rhino and Chronic, and I must say that I'm not a huge fan. But I'll definitely look into Double Dutch.

Thanks for the input guys.

Another strain I had considered was Belladonna. I bring this up because replacing Kali Mist with Belladonna will make life much much easier due to the quicker flowering times. Has anyone smoked both Kali Mist and Belladonna? How do they compare?

Also, I don't know a lot about phenotypes and such. So I was wondering if there are indicators to what phenotypes a plant carries in the vegetative state? IE: Would the chunkier/more indica traits that you mentioned show up while still vegging? I doubt that this is the case, but checking never hurts. :)

First one that came to mind - it was mentioned in a "what cross to make" thread a little while back...

Black Domina x Kali Mist sounds like awesome cross...

IMHO too...

Paradise's Sensi Star gets mentioned often as too strong/purely medical. It's on my to do list above any other indica for that reason. It's not in stock, but I'd rather wait than go for a second choice. About Kali Mist pheno hunting, there's no sure way to know it's pheno until it's been flowered a while. Similar growth in veg can result in very differend bud structure. And plants tend to have wider, indica type leaves while young and still vegging, before showing the classic narrow leaves.

I forgot to add, maybe you could go the extra mile and go for a longer sativa like neville's haze so you can get 2 indica crops per sativa(not that that isn't possible with kali mist). My incense/perfume kali looks like it'll go 90 days(At 70 with 50/50 cloudy clear). I had sadhu with it, already harvested. Now there's wasted room in the flower room. The timing seems easier that way to me than using an unecessarily long indica.

Well, thank you all for your input... In the end I'm going to go with Black Domina and Kali Mist. I'll have to work out some sort of schedule to make everything work out.

The End Is Near: I considered what you said about picking something like Neville's Haze instead. However, I simply don't want to wait that long to harvest... Kali Mist is already pushing it with my patience (assuming I don't manage to find any of the indica phenotypes that have been mentioned)

Thank You all for your input. I plan on making a grow journal when everything starts, I would be honored if you guys dropped me a line then with advice/comments.

Ryminol,

The only indicas ive seen that can match are charachters like landrace Afghan Kush (world of seeds), landrace Pakistan Kush (world of seeds fem), a G13 Hashplant (sensi), or something of a AK (white label), shiva, northern lights, papaya, misty, snow white (Nirvana). just off tha top of me head...
