What's new

We sent a message into space-> here's what we got back:

in 1974 we sent the Arecibo message into space. The message detailed some information of our species, such as our chemical make-up, information on our DNA, human population, etc.
here is a color coated image I found off the wiki-pedia page which actually does a pretty good job:

here is the actual image for those interested:

the wiki actually does a really good job detailing what is going on.
here is a decoded version of the image if you wish to stay on this page:

This apparently was our first attempt to sent a message into the cosmos.

Allegedly we got a response back. It was in the form of a crop circle. Take a look:

Clibolton Glyph.jpg

here is an attempt to decode the message:

here are a few interesting read on the Chilbolton glyph:

http://www.enterprisemission.com/glyph.htm

this one is worth a read:

there are also some videos on youtube and a lot more to this if you wish to research more.

I find this very interesting - if it is a hoax it may be perhaps one of the best. It was coldly calculating and designed by professionals. The message conveyed was pretty intelligent and if it was a hoax it was more then well done - the perfect hoax if you will.

If it is real that is of course far more interesting. The message tells us their DNA make-up their planetary system and population - I believe because we sent our planet one grid space up from the rest and they* sent the message back with three planets up that they inhabit multiple planets in their system. It also showed their population was much greater then ours at the time (which ours has doubled since then - so theirs* may have even tripled)

What do you think???

Wow man how come this return message isn't widely known about?I watch all the space shows on the sci-channel from "what on earth"to "NASA the secret files"every day and I've never heard about this response.I guess I should check out the links that you took time to post but that's just it,there is only so much time lol.Surely something of this significance would be front page news.Or are you just pullin our legs lol?

Hoax for sure i heard about this long ago its a hoax. I feel that the lil alien with a big head gives it away. Some people think these "grays" exist so someone thought it was a fun idea to hoax this as a crop circle ....a double hoax

I didn't know about it for a long time as well - the decoding of their reply message is very interesting and if it is a hoax it is very well done.

The alien head makes me a little skeptical as well but the message he is holding in the disk was decoded here:

http://astrojourneys.com/et_cropcircle.html
I thought it was pretty interesting that is was in a binary code.

However, it says here:

http://www.creepybasement.com/chilbolton-crop-circles/

that the alien face and disk appeared one year later - so may not be related to the original message.
