Veg Plant seeding

HEllo everyone. So I have in my mom garden 3 males that have been in veg for some time and in the process the have been throwing off male flowers loaded with pollen. I seems that they have pollinated some of the pre-flowers of my Willys wonder mom. I was wondering if anyone experienced this before and if so were the seed viable? Any info would be greatly apreaceted.
Thanks
Timbuktu

well, that's what will happen when males are around females.

and why shouldn't the seeds be viable?

if you get rid of the males yr female will fill out the existing seed pods then continue to produce unfertilised flowers.

if you don't get rid of the males yr heads are gonna be full of seeds.

I don't think you can grow a seed on a preflower. I have seen many seeds on the buds but I never saw one on a preflower.

Can you post a picture?

Cheers

Might be rootbound if they're flowering super early like that. Like others said thats def not a good trait so I'd nix the males susceptible to autoflowering.

Preflowers can be pollinated and will produce a single seed. In fact, the seed is usually larger than others found in the bud of the same plant.

Well The males are root bound and neglected as all hell so the flowering i guess is to be expected i just transplanted then and they are back to full veg. I have looked through everything else and i found one on a pre flower of another mom. The willy s is the most vigorous plant in my garden has prob. about 20 seed pre flowers only time will tell if the vegging mom will bring the seed to full potential. I hope so it will be a undetermined cross but oh well it could be fun

HI

I was wrong, I remember taking seeds out of preflowers. But the plants have to be flowering, aren't them?

I'm pretty sure the seed will mature even in veg.

It shouldn't. I don't mean that the seed won't mature, it is just that I believe that polinisation is impossible.

I don't know if seeds mature if they are formed in a normal flowering plant and then put back into veg. But I know that the hormonal mechanisms that allow these processes aren't active until the plant starts flowering. It is like humans and adolescence.

I'm quite sure about that, and makes quite a lot of sense. Anyway if you post a picture of something like a seed going mature in a VEG plant I would assume my mistake and thank you for the picture.

If it was possible to make a little amount of seeds from a mom, keeping her in VEG, many people would do that instead of pollinizeing entire buds. I'd be the first one using this technique, and the possibility of doing that would solve many problems growers have with males.

I think that the female autoflowered, in case it is seeded. Or even it hasn't any seed and the calyxes are growing anyway.

Cheers

Bhutanese pollinated on main stock by Afghan. There were only pre-flowers available when the afghan male was alive.

WelderDan is correct, pre-flowers or flowers that are pollinated can produce seed, even when in veg. Try it.

Sorry I can't see that
By the way, I had pollinations joining air with vegs and I never had that

Look right in the middle of the pictures where the main stock and a branch meet....they have a long tapered pointy end, but look like most other calyx other than that.

It sounds like you need x amount of posts....it may be 50 or something...weird man, I don't remember not being able to see things after I registered. It's nothing that great anyway, just a picture of flowers pollinated on the main stalk. They're good shots, but once you have seen one..... Sorry man, come back when you get however many posts.

So i am stoked they are starting to brown. I was wondering if anyone had a time frame from them starting to darken or about what stage they are at?
Thanks
