So, until the distribution ring is increased, the chances of you living near Nu Green, the current only outlet, is very slim.

Sending my water off next week. My next run will be exclusively Hydrotops.

Or you could try Growers Ark Solutions which is a slightly improved version of the hydrotops range and available in many more outlets. They will also tailor make it to your water supply. ;)

I used to use hydrotops about 7-8yrs ago, it was available nationwide. I wont go into the reasons it isnt available anymore I would rather just recommend you to try the Growers Ark or alternatively the new Plant Magic range, their organic compost feed is the best I have ever used!

I use 11l squares at 9 per sq metre. They get filled with shop bought compost, either atami gromix, plagron light mix or plant magic supreme, which I inoculate with soil secrets biomicro or plant magic granules. I simply feed with plant magic oldtimer1 organic grow and then bloom, no additives, boosters or snake oil necessary.

heres my so called sheffield blues x killer skunk @ day 1 of 12/12

How many times do you need to be told that the plant you have isn't blues? blues is from sheffield, it is the only true cutting. What you have is not blues like ive told you already.

i n i used to use them bottles, atami, bio biz, vita, canna, advanced, all that... and many of them worked well  All until Kerbdog (a younger yet more experienced hydro grower by all yards) once lamented that: "the labels cost more than the bottles of spit do" .. lol

These days we make homebrew teas,, from worm-shit, guano-shit, sugars, nettles, alga and burdock,, oh and spit and wee wee,, and it works just as well and cost much less tbph :D

peace n flowers all

Some in depth about FFF and Bactivator, or moreover where they come from

http://www.viresco-uk.com/information/horticultural_mycorrihizas.asp

I have used Growers Ark and found it ok. The main reason for wanting Hydrotops again is because the Bactivator and FFF are great products, used for many years. And the replacements that came out by Ordinal West is nowhere near as good. They being Bactolife and GGG.

And yeah, Plant magic soil is really really good. Alot of my chillis and peppers are planted in that.

It is not blues, like I explained to you in your other thread. End of story.

As far as im aware they are exactly the same. ;)

I tried Grower's Ark a few years ago when they were giving out freebies, used it in a DWC setup and it worked but didn't see anything to make me switch from what I was using at the time.

Why won't you go into details? I see no reason to not share info if it is useful to other growers. I don't use soil/compost so not interested in the Plant Magic stuff.

What kind of yields are you getting from those 9 pots and with how much light? Of course additives aren't necessary if you're growing in soil as they are present in the soil already, silica is a good example, soil/compost contains plenty but in a coco or hydro grow you need to add silica.

How many times do you need to be told that the plant you have isn't blues? blues is from sheffield, it is the only true cutting. What you have is not blues like ive told you already.

How do you know he hasn't got the Blues? The Blues has been all over the north for many years, I don't think it even originated in Sheffield, I think it came from the NW originally, not saying where exactly, but to give ya a clue, they build posh cars there.

i n i used to use them bottles, atami, bio biz, vita, canna, advanced, all that... and many of them worked well  All until Kerbdog (a younger yet more experienced hydro grower by all yards) once lamented that: "the labels cost more than the bottles of spit do" .. lol

Hmm, let's breakdown what's in a bottle of a typical bloom booster with an NPK of 0-9-18 like Canadian Xpress Superior Potash or AN Hammerhead:

150g of mono potassium phosphate
70g of potassium sulphate
1 litre of reverse osmosis water

that is all you need to get your NPK of 0-9-18, there may be a few grams of magnesium sulphate added too, but that's not really needed.

mono potassium phosphate and potassium sulphate are widely available in powdered form, so after buying those two ingredients you then need an accurate digital scale, a reverse osmosis water filter and a bottle.

Sure you can save maybe a fiver on the 12-13ukp cost of a litre of high PK bloom booster, but to most people it's just not worth the hassle, and you often have to buy large sacks of the raw chemicals, powdered mono PK is usually only sold in 25 kilo sacks and that much will last most people many years.

These days we make homebrew teas,, from worm-shit, guano-shit, sugars, nettles, alga and burdock,, oh and spit and wee wee,, and it works just as well and cost much less tbph :D

You grow in soil under natural light, so they make work for your niche application, but they aren't suitable for many other applications and will never come close to achieving the same yield as a properly dialled in feeding regime using salts, and the 'organics gives better quality' thing is a myth perpetuated by organic facists.

eww, uk420, I've heard so many bad experiences from people about that site, and I've noticing when looking at it for info in the past that it's very much a clique and there are guys there who are downright hostile to anyone who has the gaul to disagree with them. We don't need that kind of crap here, we have enough to put up with already with spamleaf and his monster ego!

Hey cheesey, is the cut you have the same as rick's? I'm just trying to think of a way to verify the cut you have, can't think how at the mo, maybe some nice, mature independent soul who knows the blues well can help? Why do i get the funny feeling this Blues thing is going to become like Cheese - tons of different ones and tons of squabbling over who has the 'real' one or not, what a waste of time!

It may well be similar rick but I can assure you from the pictures cheesey has posted he isn't growing blues.
This has been explained to him indepth in the thread he closed. You guys believe what you like, call it what you like but that cutting has zero pedigree.

Its not really useful to other growers just the way that guy ran his business is the reason his food isnt on the shelves anymore, nothing wrong with the food but like I said Growers Ark is basically the same and you said you didnt rate it so I wouldnt bother pursuing the hydrotops.

What kind of yields are you getting from those 9 pots and with how much light?

25+ from 600w.

How do you know he hasn't got the Blues? The Blues has been all over the north for many years, I don't think it even originated in Sheffield, I think it came from the NW originally, not saying where exactly, but to give ya a clue, they build posh cars there.

Click on the link to the thread he closed in his signature.

'organics gives better quality' thing is a myth perpetuated by organic facists.

I would have to disagree with that, 99% of the time organically grown weed is far superior to that grown with chemical salts. I accept hydro done properly can be just as good, just not that many people actually do it properly.

Weren't you banned from there when you were trying to write your article on the origins of haze? Or am I confusing you with someone else?

Hey cheesey, is the cut you have the same as rick's? I'm just trying to think of a way to verify the cut you have, can't think how at the mo, maybe some nice, mature independent soul who knows the blues well can help?

Its not going to happen because it isnt the real deal.

it seems none of us are intrested in pedegrees,,,,,lest be honest ,,,we call it "blues"

It does seem like most of you dont let the little thing called truth get in the way of a good story, thats becoming apparent.

go on verge,,,have a guess of its true pedegree?

I dont know what it is but it looks suspiciously like a killerskunk to me.
Which would explain the similarities, and mid summer purpling. ;)

No please do go into the reasons why it's not available anymore , or rather what some miffed growshop told you was the reason LOL. Growers ark is made by seramis and hydrotops gave or sold a formulation to them as they have been good friends for a while . Ht always recommends using seramis medium and has done for time .

How do you figure growers ark is an improved version then? please do tell .

Reading your post I would say your the one thats been listening to some bullshit your growshop told you as you clearly dont know what your talking about.

Growers Ark is made by seramis? No its not! hydrotops didnt sell anyone the formulation because they already had it, or what it was. Towards the end hydrotops really went down the pan, what with the owner always on the run and trying to cut corners with lower quality salts etc the product deteriorated along with his business.

Growers Ark is what hydrotops originally was, but improved. Like I said.

"towards the end " ?? LMAO maybe you should have read some more of the post's in this thread , you don't have a clue what you are talking about and i would'nt believe everything your shop tells you. I have heard about 5 different stories so far from previous suppliers but yours is about the funniest apart from the "he's dead" one :biglaugh:

You still hav'nt said how you figure it is improved and i dont think you will cos you simply don't know .You kind of contradicted your self there aswell i think :"they already had it? - it's what hydrotops originally was?" whatever man.
