How can people watch a fight and not see what happened? Every blog, comment section after every article and forum everywhere has not mentioned the very first controversial thing that happened. Even Joe Rogan did not comment. ????? Silva spit on Weidman in the center of the ring during an attempted handshake. Weidman sticks out his hand to shake and Silva leaned over and spit on his hand. You could see the lips purse and move and a spray come out. Most of it went on the ref. Look at a replay. Then all Rogan says is "They are gonna shake... OH I guess not". Like Silva was just refusing to shake. He spit on him. Somebody that recorded it please post it or comment. I am not crazy.
Then Silva got rocked during the early ground and pound. He did fight off some takedown attempts after he got up but he never toyed with Weidman like the writers are saying. He never connected with anything. He kept trying to goad Weidman into being overaggressive and getting lucky with a kick to Weidman's face (which all missed). I don't think Silva every landed a clean punch or kick.
In the second round when the finishing scene first started, Weidman caught Silva with a left and it did hurt him enough that Silva started pretending it wobbled him. That was just to mask the fact that it did hurt him. Then he did his limbo dance move where he leans way back to avoid punches and moves his body in an arc. Other fighters always seem to miss his face when he does this. Weidman did miss a couple of times but when Silva got to the end of the arc on Weidman's left side he met Weidman's left hook and the lights went out.
Silva did not lose this fight. Weidman kicked his ass. Silva did not score one clean hit on Weidman during this brief fight.
Now Belfort and Munoz need to fight and the winner gets Silva and the loser gets Bisping. Weidman gets to relax for a bit or gets an easy fight while things marinate in the division.
Adios Anderson... No real champion should ever act like this fool did. He got exactly what he deserved and he got it served up cold.
Oh it did happen Bionic.
Just like when nobody noticed or said anything about Rousey biting Carmouche and also tapping out on Carmouche's leg which is what made Liz loosen up her choke and Ronda escaped.
When Liz first said anything she was mad and said she bit her and felt her tap. Then the UFC paid her off and she started pretending like Ronda just had her mouth open and Liz did it by jamming her arm in her mouth during the choke. Then being friendly and showing her the bite marks.
If you watch the fight Ronda is being choked, bends her head down, opens her mouth and sinks her teeth into Liz's arm. A purposeful bite.
Why bring this up? Because nobody on the IC thread or anywhere else said anything about it. Well a few did. I said it right away and someone like you Bionic said it didn't happen. That there wasn't even a bite. yet there was. It is still on video for everyone to see.
Just watch the fight again. Look at the faceoff at the beginning. Weidman sticks out his glove for a shake and Silva doesn't stick out his hand to shake. Then he leans over and puts his face towards Weidman's extended hand and spits on his hand.
If you don't want to shake fine. But why do you need to lean over and put your face near it? At first I thought he was trying to kiss his hand. Hell he kissed him during the weigh in. I really did. I thought this douche bag is gonna kiss his hand instead of shaking it. Then the spit happened.
Interesting sidebar... nobody is saying anything about Silva KISSING Weidman after the first round. I guess nobody saw that either.
Look at the replay and come back and explain why Silva is leaning over with his mouth next to Weidman's glove. I might understand that you just missed the spitting. But the leaning over is obvious and there is no explanation for it other than spitting. If you come back and say you don't see him lean over or have some stupid explanation for it then I will know you are just a Silva fan boy.
