Howzit hawaiian, that soil mix might be a little hot for just rooted cuttings. I use happy frog for just rooted kine and it works unreal. Then after couple weeks I transplant into OF.

Hmm. Did some reading on Mosaic Viruses (virii?), .. It's got me a bit skeeved out, on the whole situation.

Decided to just pitch that Blue Dragon baby that wouldn't play nice, .. I felt like it was showing too many MV symptoms for my liking.

Now I'm sitting and staring at my other gals - the ones veggin', and the ones flowering. I do see a few signs of what COULD be MV in a few of 'em, .. A randomly misshapen leaf here, a "bite" missing there, .. But in all, everything appears to be healthy.

In the reading I did around here, people seemed to have mixed experiences - for some, it's been a total showstopper, and for others, a minor bump in the road. (Many people claimed that it had zero affect on their harvest/yield).

In my situation, the challenge is that I got all of my stock from the same room (which is no longer geographically near to me). So, for me, it appears to be an all-or-none phenomena.

TMV is overblown....no one really has it...some with Hell's Angels OG and some Chemdog Ds might have it, but it is unlikely to be the problem.

I had cymbidium ringspot (a type of mosaic virus) and it was next to many other orchids that never got it...now, it is gone (the plant not virus). Also, people that have it on the Chem D rarely see it transfer to other plants. That mosaic look is similar to a mag deficiency which most plants exhibit in recovery...don't ask me why, but I always see it after a much needed repot when my plant is about to boom and look perfect

I had been keeping the clones watered with set-out (overnight) tap water, .. At one point, I realized that water was pH'd around 8.2ish. I started giving pH adjusted water to the clones, but then slacked off and went back to the plain old set-out ~8.2 water.

Also, chlorine doesn't evaporate overnight in still water (I don't think, at least). And if your muni uses Cloramine???
Mine does, I use an extra filter for that shit.
So you are probably killing your micro-herd every time you water.

Also pH is an issue I find with the younger the plant and root system. You got to baby them.

Here is the Blue Dragon from today. I stuck it in a partially-lit corner of the room, and had roots in a few days. Stuck her back under the T12s, and the vegetative growth just was all funked out and burned lookin' and crumbly and white and no good.

For the past few days, she's been sitting on the floor, not in the direct glow of the T12s. I top dressed with some EWC a few days back, and the crotch-y growth is lookin' good. Tip is still mangled.

On this one... would personally cut the top, wilted shoot & focus on the two lower ones... trimming off that old fan leaf.

With what you said above... should take care of herself over the next week or so. ;-)

The other issue I was having back yonder was with a Headband I'd just put into a bigger pot (from its party cup). I'd put it (and a few other varieties) into a mix of FFHF and Pro Mix.

After establishing that the FFHF was the likely freakout culprit, I took 'em out of the FFHF mix, shook off the soil as best I could, and put 'em in an FFOF/ProMix blend, .

Big props to all'a y'all who posted in this thread and helped me out. Stress_test, you are the MAN with your help here and your recent "WTF here?" thread.

This is one of the topics I am gonna hit on in my Diagnostics thread too. TMV. I recently picked up a momma plant from a friend that has TMV, the plant, not the friend. LOL
Anyway I am gonna cut some clones from her and show what happens with and without an Aspirin diet.
I really think that MOST cannabis has the virus but it remains dormant until they're over stressed.
I have seen TMV ravage young plants until their leaves gnarly and twisted and then dry and turn brown. You would swear the plants will die. But then they shed the leaves and new growth takes over, soon the pass other plants of the same age and explode in flower. I know a couple of growers who have learned to just grow with the virus and they've dialed in their show to take advantage of the TMV. They would have trouble getting the same yield with uninfected plants.

Document the grow man. Keep current pics and notes on progress and conditions. Grow em out... I promise you that IF it is TMV, they will grow out of it once they hit the juvenile stage and start vegging.

Just keep on the 1 aspirin per gallon of water. I buy aspirin by the thousands, just cheap "Equate" brand.
Even if your plants do not have TMV an aspirin regime will make your plants healthier and stronger and help them fight off out pests.

Well, the clone is looking burnt and weird...I have used oasis cubes and rockwool, but as a soil grower I now clone in a propagation soil with beneficial organisms. This last time was my first time not using a hormone and it still worked but the ladies took longer to root...especially one variety.
So, the clone looks like it is burnt possibly due to water sitting on the leaves under an intense light. Put it in a very low light area...let it dry out but not to much before you water it again...low light can keep a plant alive while the roots work themselves out...I would not let it sit in water through.
From what it looks like, the top has some new growth doesn't it?....this is a good sign...let the clone dry out if you have kept it constantly wet....also put it off to the side not right under the light..this will buy you some time while the roots grow...I don't think it will deteriorate as quickly under a low light..
I don't recommend this but have you given it a tug to see if it has small roots?

One reason I like cloning in soil is that I don't not have to spray the clones...I just dunk them when I take the clone..Also, I only have to have the dome on two to three days...sometimes I might put it back on around day 5 or 6 if they are struggling

I clone in soil, bubble cloners, peat-moss wick, vermiculite wick, and aero-cloners.
I NEVER use a hood or spray. My wick cloners set wherever, in fact I've had 2 wick cloners sitting on top of my bass speaker for the last 4 days. Normal room temps, light, air, everything is just what the fuck ever for the wick cloners like the one in the link in my signature below.
My wick cloners almost always have roots in 5 days. So reliable in fact that I don't even check for roots anymore, and at day 7 I add 50% nute solution to the res. and transplant to cups on day 10.

No heat pad, no hood, no misting, no special lights, no special treatment. I cut the fuckers, dip em in root-tone and into the cloners. 10 days later I empty, clean and reload.

For individual cuttings I usually stick em in the bubbler. It is sometimes slower with some cuts, but it almost always produces roots. I use the same KISS strategy with them also: I put the fuckers in the cloner and walk away until they have roots, usually 10 to 15 days.
I change water once every week in the bubblers and aero-cloners, add a 1/2 tsp per gallon of H2O2 and put the lid on.

As soon as they are rooted, I pot em into clear 12oz cups inside of dark colored cups and begin feeding aspirin in the water/nutes and a foliar feeding once or twice a week with molasses and aspirin.
