Yep, the USA has jailed no real major players since the Keating 5.

That's why Trump will probably spend zero days in jail or prison, but the sold-out corporatist gov. wants to keep our eyes dazzled with the hopes of the 'Murcan dream and other fairy tales, so they keep peddling the bullshit about 'equal protections under the laws' and other fantasy nonsense to anyone without eyes who isn't conscious enough to see the reality and isn't offended to no end by being patronized or placated with fibs.

The 1980s was the last decade in which we had even a minor hope of seeing white-collar asshats involved in crime doing any (even close to) serious time.

And for now, the FTC has reportedly banned 'non-competition contracts/mandates', though there's A LOT of skepticism that their ban will withstand the pro-corporatist SCOTUS we currently have. Who also seem to be pondering to what degree a President (apparently 'monarch' to some of them) is immune from being held accountable for otherwise-criminal actions while in office.

Just what we needed. More immune or quasi-immune criminals in government, and now with the potential blessing of the motherfuckers who are -supposed- to be part of the checks and balances.

I guess they missed the writings of the Founders re. what it was like to operate under a monarchy.
