To Reveg or not to Reveg, that is the question...

a revegged plant has gone Veg - Flower Veg - Flower

Does not seem to be any visible or smokeable difference in the finished plant or bud compared to standard , the seed/clone variation is often quite obvious dependant on cultivar.

From what have personally seen , there is no accumulation of problems due to repeated revegging , have reflowered several disparate plants up to four times with no issues , seems a period of flower or veg of sufficient time will erase previous hormones like a reboot and previous history is then irrelevant.

Behaviour dureing reveg has proved a usefull extra selection tool , many individuals of both sexes will express intersex traits to some degree and the worst culled or flagged as a non breeder.

Quite a bit of 'yes it does' no it doesn't from some respected growers, yourself included foomar, regarding reveg. Leads me to believe strain might have a big part to play in whether it goes well or not, as these seasoned growers all seem to have their setups dialed in.

Don't get me wrong, revegging would really suit my needs so I'm keen to give it a whirl. Can anyone tell me if there's a limit to how many times you can reveg the same plant? And also if it matters if my container is all ready full of roots?

Appreciate the comments! :)

Feel the problems many are haveing with late flower clones , revegging , layering and grafting can be overcome with a little practice and experiment , my first attempts were hopeless but pretty reliable now.
The techniques are common horticultural practice but not that usefull to most canna growers so few persevere.

Will process one of tomorrows finishers and post some pics of what works for me.

As for air layering , this works near 100% , root riots seem better than other options but any reasonable media will do.

I'm liking the air layering, great visual walkthrough no real need for words! That said, is that soil used in the example? Looks almost play dough like!

I reckon I'll be done at the end of Feb, when should I give it a try do you think (air layering)? I'll still give cloning a shot too.

Cheers for the info foomar!

Strangely, is there enough space in your flower box to include a small veg box?

Here is my take. I'm in the reveg does not affect quality/yield negativly if done right camp. I run a DrBud style SOG. I rarely reveg. Drbud reveg's his up to 3 times. He claims the yield gets better with each reveg. He cuts most of the buds off and then just flushes em good and immediately hits em with a lil fish emulsion. I have good sucess with this method. I find it to be a pain in the ass though. I can take clones and get them rooted and ready to flower quicker than i can reveg one and get it ready to flower again. So for me its more productive not to reveg. Only time i do it now is if I have a mother that is going down for some reason and need to keep that strain going.

If I could keep 100 clones going and not have to worry about it, then i would reveg for the bigger yield. (then again,if that were the case i'd just fill my back yard with trees every summer!!!)

You can keep a mother alive with 50 watts of cfl. I have done this and had to keep whacking the other down because she was overgrowing her little chamber. A mother chamber can be a very little box. Light leaks are not even an issue with a mother. A simple matter.

This has to be one of the most well thought out cfl cab designs ive seen yet. Very nice job. Its desgin and build would make a good thread.

Thanks, an idea to maximize use of a given footprint, a science experiment. 20 x 23 x 36, inches, O.D.. I will create a thread upon successful run of current clones. What is pictured is 12/12 from seed, a thunk and 2 delta9 Labs Super Stars, yield of 12 grams total for the 2 SS's, thunk at 130 days +/-, chopping this week. yum.

The thread will illustrate this build plus the grow techniques I've learned here at icmag.com.
