Some of these places are a real drag
It's been a few years since a majority of Oregon's voters decided they were cool with recreational pot. Even then, it's taken awhile for some of the state's cities and counties to come around.
For 420, we looked up which of Oregon's cities are friendliest to pot enthusiasts.
We took into account the number of dispensaries per capita, a city's proximity to stuff that would be really cool to do while you're stoned as well as seasonal festivals that would only be enhanced with a bit of extra oomph.
The dispensary totals came from data collected by Oregonain/OregonLive researcher Lynne Palombo. The information is also available as an interactive map on our projects page.
Scroll through to see if your city made the cut.

Best: Portland
Number of dispensaries: 132
Number of head shops: 32
Dispensaries per 5,000 people: 1.08
Let’s just get this one out of the way.
The sheer number of places where you can buy weed in Portland makes it one of the best places in the state to get your smoke on. Add to that the numerous venues that offer live music and the plethora of food carts and any smoker should feel right at home in the Rose City.
