Not beautiful, but kinda trippy...

You guys who have done construction work will catch my drift.

The scaffolding is made of 2x4's and 4x4's lashed together with rope..
the walk planks are 2x10's...
I saw this type of scaffolding being used on buildings up to 10 stories tall....when i was working in the middle east.

yep, same in Hong Kong,,, but they use bamboo !

Scary.. I have seen stuff like that in 3rd world countries.

.

Yup, they use bamboo in Vietnam and at least when I lived there mixed cement by hand in the street. And many of what appears to be apartments/townhouses/attached homes etc in Saigon? Well many of them don't have what we in the west call footers and use the building next to it to lean against.

Outside Saigon is different. This was my place in Vuntau ( no the small red colored one ). The big one next door was built by a Canadian who married a Vietnamese. He worked in the offshore oil rigs and did well enough to build his house with a swimming pool on the roof which was covered and had an awesome view especially of an occasional cruise ship at night, all lit up and running about parallel to your eyes while laying in a chaise and indulging in many things.
