The sound of pure hash

This came about in chat today as me and Mr. Bongjangles and Shawkmon were joking around about Bubbleman making (bubble)radios and Sam's secret sieve method having to do with radio waves when it hit me/us....A new method!

The idea would be to have many silkscreen trays full of dry trimmed bud in an enclosed space with mulitple subwoofers pushing various frequencies to vibrate the heads off the bud and through the screen....experiments coming soon ;D

this is a great idea. This idea would actually work, no doubt.
Having a background in car audio, i think i MIGHT just have a couple things around that could help :)

There's a few sounds competition discs out there that play certain frequencies. For some reason, i think 80-100 would work very well to vibrate the trichs off of a plant.

Please keep us updated as i am very interested!

i have actually read about someone speculating on this method for Sam's Dry Sift.

this and the setting it atop a washing machine on low seem intriguing.

also, how about on top of a car with the engine running?

Hi people. I'm not used to posting in the international forums, but lurkin around this thread just shone bright.
For those of you acquainted with music instruments: what about gettin the sub playin different 5-string bass notes? I'm into acoustics at a decent level, just cannot translate, but was thinkin about the harmonics generated on the best frequency [that I assume will be unknown until experimentation] by an instrument workin better of the pure sound.
I don't know if that makes any sense, I'll just keep an eye over here =)

keep up

Yeah putting a sub under a small table with the box/set of screens on it. Would probably work great. My guess is you wouldn't need specific frequencies just pound some rap my sub shakes my floor through out the house so if I mounted it face up under a table that table is gonna shake.

hmmmm... interesting i saw somewhere on here that some dude had done that with his screen, just put it on his sub and listened to a couple songs. i do have a cd of various bass drops and other effects used to test stereo setups though, i got it free in a car modifying magazine about 4 years ago, if i ever do some sift ill probably use it!

Thanks for stopping by everyone, shawk did you take any pics? I am currently setting up my speakers (L7 12's) in an enclosed box with screens....probably going to take a week or two to finish with the design im going for, I will keep you all updated and thanks for the test songs they sound like they will work for sure, ive got some crazy dubstep bass songs from dj ripple and my other boy, we will see how those work...

Someone did actually mention this in one of the Skunkman dry sift threads.

Here's the post, http://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=2261549&postcount=208

totally amazing, seperates the particles by size, would love to see this done with dry sift. You need a tone generator though, 2 Live Crew might have a song for it but...

How about an acoustic levitation chamber....levitate the trichromes off the screen...takes 3 axis of sound, I only have 2 speakers :respect: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94KzmB2bI7s

the tone generator is similar to what I am trying to accomplish :D
