Just watched that movie on television. Not bad, but not as good as The Mask of Zorro. Anything with Catherine Zeta-Jones dressed in a low-cut dress is bound to be good. However, there is one thing that bothers me. The movie was set in 1850 California just as they were getting statehood. In the opening scenes, the bad guy was shooting up the place with his new Henry .44 repeating rifle. Beautiful and fantastic gun. Only problem is that it wasn't invented until the late 1850's. Do these writers not ever research anything? In the Armageddon movie starring Bruce Willis, they were shown sling-shotting around the moon and being pinned down by the force of the acceleration. Bullshit. Do these folks know nothing about science?
Does anyone else let little nit-picking things like these annoy you or am I the only anal compulsive person here? What movies have you seen that have obviously false facts in them?
