I am going to be doing my outdoor with a popular strain here called Cinex. It is all the rave here, but I can't find anything about it .

edit the spelling of Cinex

I did some more researching and found it is Cinderella 99 x OG Kush

is the cinex you speak of a old school cut? i first saw it in the early-mid 90's. the structure is alot like the blue dream, sativa dominant. i will be trying it in the greenhouses this year. im not sure of its lineage, does not remind me of any og that ive tried. more of a fruity type to me.

Hi Everyone

I just finished read the whole entire thread ! Took me more than 5 days, had a lot of smoking break and researches aside. Many times in this thread i read that it was the best thread around the net, and it is, indeed.

Thanks to everyone who contributed and shared the knowledge.

Big respect to Jenn who started this thread, Big respect to Tom Hill Butte Nomad GanjaD HumboltLocal Trinity Gold Sierra Organics, FillthePotmore ROOTWISE LocalHero Kangativa Yes4Prop215 Dr. Purpur Yeoman and everyone else who helped this thread positivly.

:tiphat:

Reading this thread got me really excited to say the least. But since i really can't afford to screw up i better plan this one square. Unfortunately where i live there's no prop215. So my goal is to run 8 plants in 100 gal pots hoping for 2 per… Do u think thats reasonable with optimale conditions?

I made a recipe for the soil and i would like ur thought on it. I need 800 gallons of mixed soil:

500 gallons of Peat
130 gallons of worm casting
160 gallons of perlite (20%)
3.5 gallons of bat guano
3.5 gallons of blood meal
3.5 gallons of Fish bone meal
7 cups of BioAlgua
7 cups of Dolomite lime
, i can't seems to get Gypsum where i live.
7 cups of Epsom Salt

Here's alil info on bioAlgua Meal:
Concentrated natural riches of the ocean, BIOALGUA ® is a real cocktail of vital elements: rich in minerals, trace elements (calcium, copper, iron, manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, sulfur, zinc and iodine) and vitamins (C, B1, B2, B6, B12).

Does are the product i can get here, I plan to fertilize with bio canna line, mostly bio boost and bio flores. I use bio canna indoor with great result. I probably try to use some compact tea too.
is that soil OK?

Nest is some questions around the strains i can run. I have a few cuts and a lot of seeds to pick from. The cuts i have are:
ECSD
Amnesia haze
(Hy-pro Cut 12 weeker)
ModyDick <--- From dinafem a spanish seed bank. The x its Haze x White Widow. Quite a good yielder and a nice smoke.

Here is some Untested cut that im running now indoor. Still at the first week of 12/12:

3 FireBubba
2 WhiteUrkle
1 AlienDog

Then in seed, Chem X's:

D-Haze
Sfv x Chemdog
Chem4 x SourDiesel
The White x Sour Diesel
DeadheadOG
SourDawgD
ChemD s1
SilverChem
Arcata TrainWreck x Chemd x Afgani

Some Kush X's:

White Kush (Pure Kush x White/HP#1-DD)
The Prophet (pre98 Bubba Kush x Tang Tang)
Strawberry Cough x The White
Strawberry Cough x Alien Kush
FireOG Kush x Alien Kush
FireOG Kush x Bubblegum 97
Super Skunk x Alien Kush
Purple Urkle x Alien Kush
Purple Urkle x 97 BubbleGum
Socal Master Kush x The White
The White x Pre98 Bubba Kush

More randomly:

Mandala Safari Mix (5)
Lifesaver
BogBubble
SSSDH
Flo x Wreck
Super Lemon Haze
Double Underdawg
Pure Power Plant
Cheesel f1
Critical Bilbo x C99 (Reeferman) (3)
BlackeBerry Bubba Kush x OG Kush Unknow cut (4) fem
Green Crack x OG Kush Unknow cut (3) fem
Abusive OG Kush x Free For All (5) fem
Free For All f2 (15) fem
SSH F3
Hash Plant X Double Strawberry Diesel (7)
Purple Kush x Trainwreck fem
Cough x Trainwreck fem
Blue Widow x Trainwreck fem
Mandala Safari Mix (5)

Sorry for all this list, but some of u out there have grown so many strain, ur advice can be priceless.

For the watering i will keep it simple with two separated tanks for watering and feeding i will use those drip emitters with pressure compensating. They go from half to 2 gph, should i go with the 2 gallon per hour?

picture.php

Also i have seen through out the thread that some of u out there top the plants. At what size is preferable to top? I can't afford to push them over 3 ft tall. I will have them growing inside until june 21st, thats a bit more than 2 months>
They will go from half gal pot to 2 to 5 before the final 100 gal. im wondering if it s ok to top them mid jully?

Thanks for the help guys, have a big one, peace. :)

It is a fast finisher, and it doesn't remind me of any OG either. So I cannot verify anything you ask. I just found a bit on the internet that some stoner posted so it could be anything. It is good weed though and the name here always gets attention. The last batch I bought was not grown that well and trimmed with a machine.

2# per 100 is totally doable. i would let em grow to 3 feet tall and then just bend em over. Keep doing that to maintain your hight. your bushes will be a little fugly but you will get a lot more out of them... I feel like a standard 3 foot sphere of a plant will yield 1-1.5 pounds. obviously it depends a lot on strain, but a 100 gallon smartie is about 3 feet wide I have seen lots of strains top out at about 1.5 when they just perfectly fill out that size pot.

A plant that you put in 100 gallons of dirt, left to bush out naturally is going to give you 4x4' or 5x5 feet AT LEAST if planted in June and subjected to the kind of veg time they get at my latitude.

Indica dom stuff might be a better bet if you don;lt want to train them hard at 3 feet. Or starting later in the season. Your yield will be better with younger plants. But of course, I don;t know where u are growing and what your natural limitations are.

Dunno if that helps. End of a long day...

Thanks nomaad, definitely a helpful answer. I plan on veg then indoor for two months and a half. They will end in a 5gal pot for the last month of veg, and the 21st june they'll be plug and the 100gal outdoor.

Dop u top ur plants outdoor, or bend em over only?

I reworked my soil recipe, if u have a lil time bro let me know what u think of it
for a result of 100 cubic.ft of soil mix
16 bags (1.5 cubic feet ) plagron bat mix
16 (1.5 cubic feet ) soil mixed with peat, worm casting, perlite
200 lbs of worm casting
20 lbs of blood meal
20 lbs of bat guano
20 lbs of fish bone meal
12 lbs of rock phosphate
4 lbs of dolomite lime
4 lbs of Lithomarine
2 lbs of zeolite
8 tbs of humid acid
30% of perlite
10% of vermiculite

many clones will outgrow their 5 gallon pots with those parameters, if i understand them correctly. on that schedule- assuming a mid march start and a June 1 planting- a vigorous sativa will get as big as 5-6 feet off the pot. That was my schedule in 2010 and with optimal care and conditions, by the time we put them out they were maxed in 10's and 6 feet tall.

For your size limitations, you may want to rethink such an aggressive spring. If you;re going for monsters, that schedule will work nicely.

Re topping and training: I do some. Sometimes i do none. You have to get a feel for what each strain likes... The biggest baddest plants I have grown were Blue Dreams that were neither topped nor trained. 7.5# in 200 gallons. They did not conform to your 3 foot height limitation. ;)

wow lambsbread, that looks like a very expensive soil mix. unless you have a cheap source of quality worm castings. sometimes they add n to the worm castings, so watch out for that.

I'm still using FFOF or Roots Greenfields plus perlite and 25 lbs of Bio-Live(5-4-2) and 25 lbs of Bio Fish (7-7-2)- both from Down to Earth Organics and in 50 pound bags. Oh... and a 25 pound bag of pure black worm castings top dressed on each 200 gallon pot.

Its been working for me @ well under $200 per pot.

nomaad whats good havent seen you around on here in a bit...

lambs bread leave all the hazes and 12 weekers for the indoors if you are doing in a non med state...you want some fast and quick finishers so you can have your crops down early..

you got a nice list of strains there..some that stuck in my mind were the arcata trainwreck x afghani, purple kush x trainwreck....the OG crosses might take to long but maybe that urkel x alien kush might do good outdoors. im running a bunch of BOG seeds outdoors this year since seeds grow more vigorous than clones and his gear is usually done less than 2 months from july 21st...

. :)

Actually you can get emitters way beyond the 2 gal an hour mark. And the way you've couched the question there really isn't enough info to answer it , too many factors such as how often you wish to water etc.etc.

And personally in a 200 gal container I wouldn't run just a single emitter ( not saying that you were planning to) and I'd likely run a combo setup of bubblers and emitters.

Do as you wish but if I were you I'd just bypass the " hydro store" on this and go straight to the folks that *really* know what they're doing , you'll find a lot more availability and a MUCH MUCH wider variety , here's a website that may or may not be helpful to you and may give you some ideas to run with. Take a close look at the minisprayers and pressurecomps too.

@ Nomaad
My cut will probably be rooted around mid april, so yeah thats 2 months of veg indoor. Since its my first time on this type of grow, im afraid i will miss my 2 per... goal if i veg them shorter. However during those two month i will train and shape them for my needs.

Damn that blue dream seems like the biggest yielder in that thread. I think i can have them till around 7 foot for the height.

@ LocalHero
Hey LH, indeed i got a worm farm not too far from here, its 13 box for 55 lbs of fresh quality worm casting!

Just like Nomaad, I'm 150 euros per pot.

@ Yes4Prop215
yep at first i wanted to run the amnesia haze, sssdh and ecsd but too long flowering strains. I got 3 different pheno of the firebubba, on of then seems the one perfect, short and bushy with ridiculous amount of nodes, and the space between the nodes is so tight! I vegged her under a 600 hps and she barely stretch.
Thanks for the input.

@ Bluenot

Actualy i picked those because i plan on running unfiltered fertz through those emitters and dont want them to clog up easy. I read in this thread, i think it was from ganjaD, that those were the ones.

I don't think i can get water though the whole pot with only one of those? i feel safer with 4

Hey thanks for the link i got mine through a irrigation pro as well.

i wouldn't do any training or topping of any kind till the plant is in its final pot, in the sun and in its stride. We are stretching the life of these plants (and I am talking about clones... i have little experience with growing from seed) way beyond their efficient youth.

If you were smoking humans, would you smoke 80 year great grandmothers with compromised immune systems or adolescents in their prime? Which one is going to make it thru a bout with a pathogen? reminder: Cannabalism is wrong.

IMO if you train them too much before the final pots, they "age" faster. At least until you are outside, less is more.

Oh and if you are putting in a watering system, I would go with 1/2" inline drip stuff from Dripworks. I have reused my 25GPH coils for two years and an end of season test confirms that they are still performing close to spec.

all the stuff in the above pics links is way too complicated for any kind of large scale garden when compared to the stuff at dripworks. Not saying it won;t work, just that it has more parts. Mo parts, mo problems.
