hey silver, I don't think I put the details on the room in
this thread, as I already listed it back in my 1400 watt deal,
but.... it's like 6x14x8 and I'm running twin cool tubes with a
1k hortilux enhanced spectrum super hps in one and a 400 watt
MH. G.E. super blue in the other. as for stench control I have twin
can33's (one for each tube), powered by a commercial grade twin
squirrel cage fan set up that pull a "no bullshit" 750 cfm, exhausted
outdoors for the summer, and indoors when the temps drop below freezing.

It just so happens that song rocks, I remember when it came
out, back before rap became crap... use too bump the shit out
of that tune in my 1973 Roadrunner, 4 sets of pioneer 6x9's (pre subs era)
hooked up to a 200 watt amp and an Alpine receiver, F'n good times man !

I've been have a lot of fun lately, and it's been a blast, but...
let's cut through the bullshit and get down to some facts,
I've had a few friends ask me lately, what kind of nutes do
you run, what additives, PH levels, PPM's, ect... so here we go.


First off I start with tap water @ 400 PPM's and a PH level of 7.0
from there I add my nutes, then adjust the PH to 5.7, basic stuff.

For vegatative state:
General hydroponics, flora nova series (grow formula)
G.H.'s, floranectar, pineapple rush (sugers)
Great white, premium mycorrhizae (enzymes)
Bio weed (kelp extract)
I start them out @ 600 PPM's, thats the 400 I started with and
200 ppm's of nutes, this I run for 1 week, then I bump them up
to 900 PPM's, again 400+500 nutes=900 PPM's, still basic stuff.

As for the enzymes...I like to start them out in water from the
dehumidifer as it contains, no clorine, no nothing.......not yet !

Then I add the Great white (just a Lil) and the floranectar...

10mls per gallon.
From there I let it sit a couple days... too brew, then I just top
feed all my plants with it, hydro and dirt both, they just love it,
it keeps the roots clean and healthy, healthy roots = happy plants !
As for the kelp extract, thats more of a stress reliever that really
seems too help with the cloning/transplanting of young plants.



I hope that clears somethings up, and if anyone wants, I can go
through the flower stage and final flush...just let me know.

How did you figure out what 200 ppm of nutes looked like? Did you just start with your 400 ppm tap water, and fiddle with the amount of nutes to get to 600 ppm, and then just make a note of how much nutes you put in to get it to that 600 ppm?

exactly, now I just use a small syringe to measure the nutes and
it's pretty much the same every time, usually it's within 50 ppms.

P.S. how's that Headband smoke'n for ya, it looks killer !

Good idea - I'll have to make a note for my upcoming DWC project.

I've not yet torched the Headband, .. Thanks for the kudos! I'm trying to hold off on getting into it too soon, .. It just made it to the jars a couple days back, and it's at about 60% RH. They're usually more moist than that when they go into the jars - not sure if that'll affect anything, ..

In the jars, it's not got too much stink action yet. Still fresh/green smelling, a bit.

I yanked it at 68 days, .. But I feel like it could've gone another few days or a week, .. (But I couldn't! Traveling..)

I took a look (and sniff) today and I feel like the calyxes could've swollen a bit more, .. Who knows.. We'll find out soon enough. (Now I may go twist one before I go to bed!)

I've got another one coming down in a couple weeks, SOG styl-ee.. I'm going to let that one cook for a bit longer.

@ silver Hawaiian, not a problem, sorry I bailed the other night,
but I promised my dog a walk, that turned into some fish'n....

Today I noticed a few of the gunk buds are start'n to turn purple and
the upper leaves are beginning to yellow and die off, as they do naturally,
their on a 10% nute diet, I'll cut that back to plain water next week
and supplement that with some floranectar, also @ this stage I like too
let the PH. rise up slightly to 6.2 to 6.3 as this is the optimum
range where more cal/mag is available to help firm up them buds !

About 1/2 if them are start'n too change color now.



I'll post some pic's of the chem tomorrow, I looked at their trich's under the microscope today, and their about 40% amber and 60% cloudy, it's cool to see them under the scope and I'll try and get some pic's of that as well....
