Suggestions for ph/tds meter

Do yourself a favor and get one thats waterproof. I have the milwauke C66 for EC and its been great for over a year now.no problems. I just got the ph55 ,I like it so far. I've had 2 of the the ph600 and it worked really well for about a year or so until it fell in the water.You will need to calibrate it a lot tho. Like mentioned earlier, eseasonsgear is an excellent place to get them. .....free shipping with an $20 order. You can get a ph600 and spare batteries with free shipping.Just dont get it wet

The main problem is I wasn't able to do a 2 point calibration with it right out of the box. It calibrates with 7.01, but not 4.01. And when I just do a 1 point calibration (7.01) it will read almost everything at 7.01 no matter what the ph is, even if I dip it in the 4.01 after. I'm not sure if I have a faulty ph electrode or what (it came in the package dry), but it doesn't work. The TDS/EC probe seems to be working, but I also need ph. I was going to try to take this one back and just order another. I wanted it to work, but no dice, unless you know something I don't.

sorry about the slow reply but here goes soak the electrode overnight (at least a couple of hours) in ph electrode storage solution or ph electrode conditioning solution before you calibrate if the probe is dry also it helps if the pen and calibration solution are at the same temperature if this don't work return the pen they should swap it out for a new one

for measuring ppm i use a HM digital meter, i don't have to soak it in anything, store it in anything or calibrate anything. i just turn it on stick it in the water and wait a couple seconds. when im done i whip it and blow some air on the tip so it doesnt get rusty or whatever. the manufacturer says to store it dry.

for pH i use the drops, they work just fine for our application, we're growing weed, not making lysergic, doesn't need to be that accurate. knowing its in the 5 range and not really close to 6 but closer to 5 is accurate enough. if its red or orange your pH is too low, if its darker than lime green your pH is too high.
