Strain for fighting depression

Painfull

I would highly recommend C-99. Flowering no more then 8 weeks, no hybrid. Trics shouldn't be amber. I had bouts with depression at times and meds have helped for the short term with therapy.
C-99 is the best mood elevator of all the strains I grew and tried. Believe me I smoked a lot of sativas but they don't work the same as C-99. C-99 is not overly powerful as other sativas so you can get things done. Just find the breeders that sell pure C-99 no hybrids, Brother Grimm stock.

Good Luck,

Back from the dead thread, hopefully the OP has found help by now.
I think for depression everybody will respond differently depending
on their own chemistry.

I have auto immune problems that trump my mood issues and I find
that I respond best when I have a good variety of strains throughout
the day and I start light and finish heavy.

What works for me daytime are things that most would call a racy sativa. The
best for me are Jack Herer or its hybrids. Pineapple express, Jilly bean, also Trainwreck
and it's hybrids. I'm growing and smoking Chernobyl recently and it's the favorite
day smoke in my garden. I would try silver haze types too.

For mood elevation later in the day with that smack your face and muddle your brain effects
I like Sour D, Og's , and Cookies if ya got some. When I'm having bad depression
I'll go straight to the night time meds early.

The best thing I did to get medical help from cannabis was to move heaven and earth
and get myself to cali for extended trips visiting dispensaries all around the state.
I tried lots of strain and narrowed in on the things that worked best for me over
a couple of years. Being sick in a non med state it was hell finding
decent meds and the doctor dope was killing me.

As much energy as it takes to get from seed to smoke, cannabis can
be a difficult herb. I'm slowly getting to where I'm growing good
meds for myself but it is more work than I can manage and a real
shackle around my leg often times.

I think I'd much prefer to live somewhere you
can find lots of stores filled with awesome cannabis like the bay.
Of course then you need lots of money.

Keep exercise in mind for fighting depression. The release of endorphin generated while exercising is really awesome at combating depression, stress, and anxiety. I've got a Bipolar friend that has gone completely off prescription meds simply by busting her ass in the gym. Her mind is doing good she says and she's got a smokin' body now too.

Yes... the balance of natural and cannabis derived cannabinoids in your brain... have a LOT to do with depression.

The two are definitely linked. I didn't see it... but is the link for the study in there where they used blocker drugs on the cannabinoid receptors in the brain? People became depressed, overweight, had mood regulation issues and a whole slew of other problems.

Stay Safe! :blowbubbles:
