storing hash

I was just wondering. Is it better to store your hash and oils in clear or dark glass containers or does it even matter?

you should store it at a cool,dry, dark place. But I think dark containers will be better option if you must store it somewhere on a daylight.

I do store it the correct way like you said other than when I pull it out to smoke,

Unless it is in sunlight or other real strong light, it would not matter. I keep my stash in the cupboard or in the dark, just because it is handy that way.

If you were storing it for years at a time, then it is different. Hash stores really good because the outside mm or 2 of the chunk of hash is the only thing exposed to light and oxygen. Loose kief would not store as well.

There seems to be different theories about that, as I've read loose resin would store better over very long periods of time as resin glands are still intact. Pressing resin to make hash breaks the glands, and stuff is liberated that will deteriorate faster than it would if it had stayed in an intact resin gland.

Makes sense?

Moreover, resin is almost always stored loose in producing countries and pressed when needed. There must be a reason for this.
