Split lights on 6hr/6hr for flowering

i have been flowering with 8 on 16 off for about a year now. at 1500 umols of flow or better.

this delivers a minimum of 43.2 moles per day with a long, cool, dark period.

they flower more aggressively and with better terps.

i'm using a diy light that produces 1500 umols at 30".

the drawback is that you must have a light that can produce that flow at a distance that does not cause excessive heat on the plants.

i'm running experimentally right now at about 80 max room temp with 77-78 leaf temp at the tops.

68-70 lights off.

still with 1500+ at the tops.

those who think leds lack penetration take note that this fixture still produces 1000 umols 10" below the tops.

same growth or better with better terps at 1/3 less electrical costs.

Dj made a comment bout playing with 10-11 on, but I think what u do delta is deff also interesting. I would try out the 9 hour on. Think Gypsum is useing this interval. I see no reason to run 12/12. But some might say that "Indica" would do better under this.
In the end, useing less light is something the indoor grower should give a shot. This also correlate with saveing money and keeping less CO2 out of the air
