Ok here are some pics. in the flower room is some Kalzar(ingnore the spelling). it is 17 days on 12/12. In the veg room is Ak-47 and Nebula. so far all is soil. I am having a Ph issue with all the plants. I am using lucas formula for nute and co2 and soil is mirracle grow cut with straight perlite. I was setting my PH at 6. and began to notice some leaf issues. like rust spots on leaves (pic2) and curl in alot of leaves(pic3). after some research I diceded to raise the Ph. to 6.7.. I filled the soil until water ran out of the bottom and the PH of the water that came out is 5. So can any one help me straighten out this PH issue? Oh yeah grow is lights are 2 600 watt HPS Great to be Back.... Peace

Next time get a better soil,I never did like MG.

Add 1-2 tablespoons of powdered dolomite lime for every gallon of soil, not only will this help buffer your soils pH but also act as a cal/mag supplement.

When growing in soil always keep the pH between 6.5 -7.0 with 6.5-6.8 being ideally perfect.

Always check the pH of your water and water/nute mix, correct to 6.5-7.0 if needed.

If you keep your water or water/nute mix at the correct pH and your soil at the correct pH you will never have pH problems again.

Jnugg You are exactly right I have been double checking the PH pre and post Nute. But I have never used the powdered dolomite lime. I have read about it and sounds like I need it. do you know a good place to get it? thanks for your time......

It's available at home improvement stores with garden centers. You can also find it at hardware stores and nurseries. It's hard to undo too much lime. IMO, only all peat needs two tablespoons per gallon. Otherwise, 1 tbs should do. Sometimes I add measured lime into my mix before I add perlite since it's inert. If the result is too hot, I add measured lime to the soil/perlite mix.

Lime works best if it's had time to activate in moist soil. While my current grow is in mid flower, I mix 10 gallons of soil and add the lime. After thoroughly mixing, I add enough water to get the soil damp, not wet. Then I let it steep for a few weeks and mix it a little more. After 3 to 4 weeks the lime has had a chance to do it's thing. If you can't find powdered or pulverized lime, pellets will do the trick if you grind the pellets into powder.

It's also good to use humic acid along with the lime. The right amount of lime will raise the pH to the proper level and humic acid does the opposite. These two additives working together will help your plant absorb nutrients better.

Very good post.I actually meant to tell the OP about mixing your soil up with the lime and wetting (not soaking) and let it steep for a while....thanx for covering my ass lol!

You might want to try wetting the mix down with some Liquid Karma too!

Thanks alot Disco... that is great advice. what should I do about the flowering plants? I am not going to repot so should I just water as normal but with the higher Ph levels (6.7-7). I definately dont over water. If anythig I might under water and I only use nute. every second or third water depending on how the plant is looking..

Wish I knew brotha. I've tried watering with a higher pH when runoff was low but don't know if it helps. Maybe somebody will chime in and help us both.:D

Here are some updated pictures. just about harvest time. 55 days of flower. Also some updated pics of the scrog. I found a grow lite at walmart for $10 so I Put it under the screen to see if it did any good. It doesnt seem to help but it was worth a try. I think 4 of them around the frame of the scrog would do some good. I am alos wondering if any one has messed around with lights under the canopy on a scrog?

here are some harvest shots. Any one want to guess on weight? when its dry I will weigh it up and post the results. They are not the best pics but the buds are real solid and one of the phenos has super chunky calyks. it looks like yellow popcorn in person.
