Soil humidity probe

Hi guys
I have a question about something, i have bougth this

The problem is that after i receive it i find that the probe rust pretty fast, because the metal parts exposed and the way the probe works.

Would this probe work on that module?

I know this probe works with arduino, and it has 3 pins while the module have 2, but anyone knows if it would work?
