Slurry Test vs. Runoff Readings... Discuss!

Runoff values are going to be different from the core of your medium. That makes sense. But how do I get a sample from the core w/o destroying my potting medium?

This. Or how not to damage roots taking soil?

also, how can the slurry test not show a lower EC when it's being diluted with RO or distilled water?

Not sure why people make it so complicated. If you feel low ec and keep your Ph on check there is no reason to be doing these type of test... Start off with the right water and you should be just fine....
