Used to skate back in the 70's waiting for Skateboarder mag to come out...2 other buddies and me were the only "North" Dogtown boys...I read about Dogtown alot,so we tried to do all the tricks that came out every month. North Cal started to build Skate parks,Winchester,Campbell skate parks and then Santa Cruz followed..Knew the local boys Scott Foss,Steve Caballero,,Even had a skating session with Steve at the local Winchester pool. These guys went pro later.
Man those DogTown boys were kicking everyones butt in style, tricks.
Me and the boys used to lay on our backs and go down this church hill at 40 mph cuz it was too knarly to stand besides skating vertical and no money..Church Hill #1 and #2 was rad man...
It was funny when the class president walked by me while I had a Dogtown shirt on and said "What's a Dogtown?" sarcastically .I didnt hear anything he said but my buddy told me "you gotta kick his ass"
Haha.... Odd..Nothing happened after that.He got skeered
