I have three clones of Slap N Tickle (GMO x Grape Pie) from Cannarado Genetics. Same mother plant so the genetics are identical.
One of them was sprayed with Silver Thiosulphate (STS) in an attempt to reverse the plant (to create feminized pollen) while the other two were allowed to flower normally.
The STS came from a guy online so it took a couple weeks to come in the mail. By that time the plants had already began to flower and were shooting white hairs. After the 5th dose of STS to the intended pollen donor it appeared that it wasn’t going to work. I grabbed the best male (strain: Great Gumball bred by Olympic Seeds) from the greenhouse and decided to pollinate two of the Slap N Tickle with it. The hairs retracted and the plants began to form seeds.
And then it happened.
The Slap N Tickle treated with STS began forming nuts AFTER IT WAS ALREADY POLLENATED. It’s almost as if becoming pregnant pushed it into reversal. From the point of pollination onward the plant stopped shooting white hairs and only produced nuts.
So now I have one pregnant female, one pregnant trans male (that might further impregnate itself) and one virgin female. All separated from each other for the rest of the flowering period.
Will the trans male successfully impregnate itself with its own pollen despite only having 6 weeks until the end of flower from beginning of pollen production?
Will the trans male produce viable F1 seed?
Will the F1 seed from trans male be all male due to STS suppressing female gene expression?
Let me know what you think
First 3 photos are pregnant female
middle 3 are preggo trans male
Last 3 are virgin female
