Should i start topping my plant ?

Hey Guys, been a while since i have updated. One plant got a burnt by the light a few weeks ago and has just stopped growing.

Even after switching to 12/12 it did not grow much, the other however is below in pictures.... umm just to make sure this is a female right ?

If its new genetics I usually let it grow out without FIMing or topping the first time, just to see what it does... In my experience FIMing gives a buncha popcorn buds.. Topping on the right plant can be amazing, some strains don't like topping or FIMing at all... either way I usually wait till the plant is about 6 -8 inches tall with no less that 3 nodes
