Similar thing happened me, I done a rm -rf /var/lib/mysql/* when I should have done a rm -rf /var/lib/mysql/dbname/*
I lost a whack load of datebases but luckily had them all backed up.

Skip, you need to get into your server & do a chmod 777 on the images directory.

That's what I don't like about Unix. Pretty unforgiving and not interactive enough. It should've warned...

He suppressed the warnings by using the f switch, if he had of done rm -r /var/www/html/* he would have been asked roughly 10000 times are you sure you want to delete this.

dunno bout you blokes , but i always keep a copy of my pics on cd , and often somewhere on the pc , just do a clean now and then , make a cd easy as ...

I agree with you wallyduck. Backing Up images can be easily burned as a Data CD. (be it CD-R / CD-RW)

Just wished I had done so earlier....I lost quite a number of pics too.

same for me, PMed the message to skip, and was able to post up in a day. so hes workin it, i think he needs your individual message to fix your gallery.

I heard that Skip got pissed and headed to the Server company that lost the data to take some revenge. When he got there they were ready for him though and sent him into Tron world where he is battleing other trapped webmasters.

I'm having the same problem trying to post images. Holy crap though BOG, that is some awesome looking purple bud! Maybe they let you post on here because you have such crystallicious calyxes.
