Well hello there, my name’s Dean, I love growing plants, and one of my favourites is cannabis. I’m originally from British Columbia, Canada, and started growing indoors in my teens immediately after high school graduation, a friend owned a local Hydroponic store and I was intrigued early on.
I used to post after the turn of the Millennium as TheUnknownGrower, T.U.G., Tug and various other aliases, including here at IC Mag, in 2006 I posted BUDDER MAKING MADE PUBLIC, and more recently (3 years ago?) I was TheForgotten, and I was experimenting with LED lights, now I just use my name and don’t worry, cannabis is legal here now.

im gonna post some pics, and enjoy growing some plants, hope there are a few out there who can appreciate….

This was as TheForgotten, there was some odd goings-on (Covid-19) and i stopped growing for a while. The Abbotsford police weren’t real happy about my quantity of plants, but they recognized it was for consumption Not sale, and simply fined me.

I went to the Okanagan Valley and helped my family with their orchard during the pandemic, eventually moving on when things seemed a little more normal.
I made the move in April 2021after getting off crutches from a broken hip after getting hit by a car while riding my bicycle, it took a full year but i regained full mobility and went back to get my house full of possession, including my equipment for cultivation In 2022.
Lo and behold there was a bag of buds in with my equipment, still on the plants and cured for over 2 years….

I’ll have to go look back in my grow journals to see exactly what strains I was doing at the time, but I immediately recognize the Sugar Haze, some NL, I’ll try to discern through QC but this won’t be easy….

I’m still using LED’s, in my opinion, in my 30+ years of experience LED’s are the superior choice for cannabis, with no detriment over any other light source (save for the sun) and in fact better than HID….
I especially like a strong blue spectrum (I was a metal halide fan) of these….

So I’m starting some strains, mostly Seedsman and Ace, but a few from Crop King here in Canada.
I started these under Feit LED lights with 5 settings, this is Super Daylight or something, close in colour to Sola, around 5.5 K.

Then I recently added a Viparspectra V900….

The bigger one is Gorilla Lemon Fire regular from Crop King Seeds….
The 2 in light blue pots are Tuna Kush from same….

The 4 in dark blue pots are Sugar Haze regular from Seedsman Seeds….

The tiny seedlings are (2) Congo feminized from Ace Seeds, and (5) LA Peyote Kush feminised from Seedsman Seeds….

and I have some Bruce Banger Fast on order from them as well….

Green Mountain Grape from Green Mountain Seeds through Ace….

looks like I’ll get to try the Bangi Haze thanks to Ace Seeds as well…
I love Ace Seeds, I had a problem ordering the other day, and got a reply in about 10 minutes, I fixed it and got a confirmation email in another 10, then a shipping confirmation the next day, wowsa, great Customer Service….

are your critical 2.0 from the original Dinafem work or the new Silent seeds gear ?
