Seeds Addiction???

21 is reasonable compared to what some people on here have! I have around the same and have decided to try and save the older ones before I take on any new ones, since I have some older strains that are desirable and unavailable at present, including a few landrace strains I collected myself!

I think i have things under control.... lol, .... not really....

I am OCD about a few things.
I realised that the attraction to 'getting just a few more seeds' could start a life of it's own, and end up being totally pointless, but still necessary in my mind.

If it's not one thing it's another......

I think it is just a phase though.
If i actually grow some of the crosses i have made and they are good, i think i will have something different to be OCD about.

Lol i thought i was the only one with a problem, after reading this thread i dont feel as bad about it.

Month after month i place seed orders (1 or 2 times a month) and everytime i tell myself this is the last time, iv already got enough to last a life time but as soon as they arrive im straight back on the net filling my baskets up on different sites. Just cant stop myself.

dunno if id be that bothered with some things folks keep,

dont forget its good to keep things revolving ,
grow them seeds , share them with your friends ,
make some more ,buy some more,
keep things fresh and going around ,
no point sitting on stale seeds ....

Absolutely, while I just bought three packs, and four before that (lol), I have lots of strains I should really try and grow out to preserve since they are not all that easy to get anymore!

Look at all the strains people reminisce about from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Only if more people had the foresight to save those special strains.

I duplicate all of my most special strains to make sure they live on for decades, maybe some day I'll leave them to somebody in my will and they will get a time capsule full of special herbs.

I would encourage every grower to hoard seeds, you never know what the future holds with Monsanto and your ability to purchase seed.

I admit I am a seed hoarder as well, I have so many I could prolly live of them as a soul source of food for some time. Which is an expensive but very healthy diet.
