Root aphids? Please help identify pics

Last cycle locked out on me day 40, found these little guys thought they were Root aphids so used series of 3 drenches 5 days apart of Azamax on my veg. I didn't see them again in veg until today in flower day 8. Are these RA's? If so should I continue with the azamax drenchings in flower/veg and or anything else I could be using in conjunction with or instead of aza? There have been zero fliers, they appear to have 6 legs and antenna's silver/white smaller then a grain of rice. I didn't want to clog up the RA thread if its not RA, Please help... Thank you

They also can hop or jump pretty well and are contained to the soil as far as I can tell...

I have had the red assed root aphid in all its forms. That looks nothing like it. I'll see if I can dig up some pics. The RA I had loved azamax they chug it and begged for more had to completly shut down. Started over from seed lost my strawberry cough and pineapple kush.
I hate chemicals! But they work.

Phillthy- thanks for the reply, they do look very simular and carry same traits(jumping, white..) but I had ruled them out because they seem to be affecting roots and causing lockout while in flower. First shows as mag/cal def in the leaves then total wilt even with proper flush. Is the debate still out on whether springtails can cause these signs? I am running in coco so makes sense, Regaurdless I'll grab some SM-90 to see if that works. Thank you

that does sound like root aphids. if you can find pyganic 1.4 hit them with 40ml per gallon and drench.

From the pictures I do not see the kinds of aphids I dealt with. They have more round bodies. Check all your plants, especially the bottoms for more insects. Do you have any fliers?

If you wanted to take preventative measure against root aphids i recommend DUNKS (fully submerge entire root zone in the solution) as opposed to drenches with full strength ogbiowar foliar pack which contains the the fungus in mycotrol, or if you dont mind some petroleum distillates you can use botanigard. I would avoid the pyganic or mycotrol until you have a positive identification because they both contain oil which can wreck havoc in the rootzone. If you do get a positive identification of root aphids there is a 5% solution of organic you can buy on amazon about the same price as the 1.4 philithy spoke of. ~Three times as much for the same price.

Been hearing good things about OG Biowar...The Root Pack of theirs will eat those little fuckers. Heard the plants love it, too. I'll try to find the picture of what they did to this guy's RA's. (Should do the same to the springtails or whatever those little fuggers are that's bugging you.)

...
Off their site:

The root pack did that to the root aphids. It's reasonable to believe it'll do the same to the springtails.

I believe its the foliar packs that contains..... beavaria bassiana and beavaria brongniartil, also contains BTI, BTK, and Saccharopolyspora Spinosa

OGBiowar root pack has several things, including the fungi in Met52 and Botanigard. They recommend brewing an ACT [check their website for instr] using the root pack for inoculants. Brewing multiplies them exponentially.

Drenching won't get all of the insects in the medium. Whatever you use, you'll need to do a 30 minute soak with entire container and medium below water line. BTW, BT and Bti [mosq dunks] don't do anything to kill RA's or much of anything but larvae. Root aphids multiply mostly by live birth of already pregnant females. Only takes 1 survivor to re-infest in a short time. Good luck. -granger

Thanks for the replies, No fliers at all and nothing on acual plant just in soil and root zone. Is that og biowar used only as preventative or does it work with flowering plants as well(work meaning instant measure or soil build up kind of thing). Ordered the root pack to use on my veg but still would like to identify exactly what I'm dealing with so I can hit flower appropriately. Thanks again for all the imput

PM on the way to the guy with the RA's...doing what he did should handle the problem his RA problem was pretty bad.

...PM system was messing with the link google Root Aphid Annihilation to see what he did. (Gotta hit more results on the first result there.) I guess he was using the root & foliar packs as a root drench after brewing up the ACT.

In my post above, I referred to the Root Pak having the fungi in Met52 and Botanigard, but I was wrong. It's the foliar pak. -granger

These look like predatory mites. They resemble the root aphid but lack the two little nubs that are found on the ass of an aphid. Beneficial!
