some of the reviews are pretty intense

So many "blues" experiences are watered down, poor representations of what the blues and rural music are all about. Not so with the Shack Up Inn, just south of Clarksdale proper. This is the Real Deal. Unfortunately, I was saddled with the worst illness in at least five years when I stayed here, and I was still struck and overwhelmed by the sincerity and authenticity of this little series of motel shacks. This is it, y'all. When you're doing the blues tour, forget the rest, and stay here. You'll be glad you did.
