No need to thank me friend. Withôut your time and efforts this wouldn't be possible. You're a classy guy Red, getting all these testers out to so many people. 21 free beans of great genetics and all I have to do is a thorough documentation...can't beat that. I'll take pleasure in running these proper for ya Red, because I know it's helping out a dude who is obviously going about getting a seed company off the ground the right way. It'd be nice to see more breeders take the course you have. I hope you are finely rewarded when you start putting beans out for sale...I know I'll be knockin' the door down for some of the black rosé/blackberry kush crosses you have planned for the future.
Went into paper towel this morning inside unsealed ziplock in warm place. I'll be back in 24-48 when they have tails.
ringmasta, hows the seeds coming along? I think the purple elephants will be some fire. I,m growing the purple walrus cross and its a very nice all around plant so far, Steady growth and its starting to branch out very well after topping. I,ve really got an itch for that blackberry kush also. I suppose that the cannaventure blackberry x trainwreck is Reds work too. If so I think I,ll grab a pack or two. Good luck and peace
Everything looking good so far. At least half above dirt...I'll get the final count and pics by Sunday night.
I also dropped a seed that I was unable to recover...so the final count will be out of 20 seeds, not 21 as I mentioned before. I'll obviously make note of the count on each strain as I report back.
The other few may have come up in another day or two...but no time for stragglers. I will also note that I used Burpee seed starting trays to start these, which is not my traditional method. I just now popped them out of the trays and put them into 6" pots before I snapped these pictures. I usually go straight into a 6 inch square pot from seeing a tail, but decided to use the trays since I have a bunch of them around from sprouting vegetable seeds for the season.
The mix they are in now is primarily coco/ff light warrior/ff happy frog ...with a few amendments of my own.
Im with you on the plant Darwinism! Only the strongest will survive! No rest for the weary! Everything looks great man, great update! Rockin right along. Thanks again for everything bro
Chugging along...took a couple quick ones while watering.
1-2 of each strain have a little leaf burn because my soil mix is probably a little too hot for them. I'm all organics though...so most of the time they grow out of it...but if I notice they are really stuggling and not growing in another week or so, I'll pot them in a lighter mix.
Going to re-pot in mostly 3 and 5 gallon pots and flip to 12/12 in a day or two...everything looking good. These are being vegged in a 2 x 3 x 5 tent with a 400w LED panel, as well as a 240W LED panel. Real watts combined is somewhere in the 300-340w range if I'm not mistaken.
Don't mind the crispy yellow edges on the bottom leaves of most of these (it happens to everything I veg in this space)...it's a product of my airflow inside the tent paired with the low humidity and penetration power of the LED once the tent gets crowded/filled. Aside from the runts there has been noticeable growth every couple days and they are chugging along nicely.
PE x Ortega looking a little more uniform and vigorous across the board. Stems also very strong and girth-y on a few at this point.
Trinity x Ortega looking solid as well although I have a couple runts that don't look like they've taken to kindly to my soil mix.
Once we find them ladies I will get more thorough reporting on individual plants.
Looking great man! I can see the Trinity in a couple of those for sure. Esp in the first pic back middle plant. Keep an eye on that one! The deep heavy serrations on the leaves give it away. Any smells on the stem rub?
Looking fantastic buddy. Curious what height you are keeping your LED's at this early in growth. Also whats your plans for flower? Same setup or moving it over to an HPS room?
