Did anyone of you grow sativafiends /rsc highland thai ?
Looking for some Info on that strain

what is it you want to know?

it's a very big strain, with large seeds, irregular branching habit, and denser buds than you might expect for a tropical ganja strain

it has purple plants and green plants

aromas are also different from what you might expect from Thai ganja

I think of it as a chinensis (WLD) x NLD hybrid, whereas classic Thais are more typically NLD x NLD hybrids

Parental Information:


A landrace pure sativa, Grown by the Lahu hilltribe in northern Thailand and Burmese border area.
This tribe are from Tibet originally,they migrated through China and Burma over a three hundred years
ago.Seeds are always collected from same source, a pure breeding strain grown for over 100 years in the
mountain village they are collected from on Thai side of the border, one farmer crosses male to female
using many different plants and distributes the seeds to others. Grows at 2000 metres,and producing
two crops a year. This is the same landrace type as used by DJ short for his blueberry and flo crosses.
I have never seen any herm traits in this line, even plants that are stressed and re-vegged for three seasons
has not shown any herm traits. A great breeding tool, rooted cuttings can be flowered strait away a will
produce a manageable sized pure sativa at just under a meter tall, flowering photoperiod is best at
11 hours 30 mins for quicker bud set. These seeds are from 19.5 latitude.

Describe each phenotype expression:


Pheno#1: 7 out of ten,medium green narrow sativa leaf type, not highly serrated. Can reach a height of just
over 2 meters growing outdoors in mountain environment,a sour, carroty mango taste. Produces
a soft, sweet and powerful creeper high not for occasional smokers. Takes about 14- 18 weeks to
fully ripen.


Pheno#2: 3 out of 10, a darker green with slightly wider leaf blades,more burmese in appearance than
typical Thai. Growing a little smaller with denser buds than pheno#1 that turn blue/purple in
cooler climates,this pheno has a heavy high,more a mix of mind and body, relaxing calm high.
Taste is berry like, sweet with very high resin output, these tend to flower a little sooner, around
100 days. None of the above have shown herm tendencies in all grows indoor and out so far.

In the seedsman section on this topic J TricH posted that indeeda Skunk male was used in the stabalizing of Mama Thai and to speed up her flowering.
I also note that Thai Tanic by Flying Dutchmen is of this type too. Skunk mdle used to bring down Thai flowering time.
Check Cannabiogen and Aces thsi selection as they have truly given much time and effort to it. Tge Golden Tiger by Ace and Destroyer by Cannabiogen both appeal!!!

I have bagseeds from Thailand.Now my 4 plants in flowering see the pictures.I think i have 4 different types.What do you think?
I grow indoor my maximal vertical place is only 1.5 meters so i have to make LST.
I collected the seeds on the island ko phayam.As i heard all the cannabis they sold there are comming from Laos.

have 3 bagseeds plants from ko phayam/thailand.
all 3 are so different after 3 month flowering 10/14.
nr.1 grow very slowly and have 1 and 3 fingers.
nr.2 grow ok but have only 1 finger leavs.
nr.3 grow the best have only 3 finger leavs.
what do you think about the plants?
they are real sativas?or mixed with indicas?
somebody told me that the weed in thailand today comes from laos and cambodia.

no crops have been growing in thailand for a long while ,

Ya Bah seems to be the favoured product from Myanmar .
Cops bust a few million speed pills a week coming out of NE Myanmar lately .

Ganja comes in over the Mekong . Lots ganja busts on the Thai side of the Mekong . Coming in from Lao .

I rode a bus from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai .
Met another Ozzie and got talkin . He had been up with the Hill tribes . Fool had Opium and Ivory in his back pack . I had a sack of buds in my under wear .
Next thing we stop at a road block and army dudes are on the bus with M16s . I started getting sweaty .
Whipped out my passport and held it high . Officer looks at it turns on his heel and disembarks the bus . PHEW !!

When the bus reached Chiang Mai .
I got away from the guy with the contraband as quick as I could !
