I've flowered in soil with 4", 5", and 6" square pots. I like the 5 inchers for cfl SOGs and the 6 inchers for HPS SOGS. Throw a rooted in clone in there, veg for a week or so, and flip. I always mix water crystals into my soil. I usually water around every 5 days (with both pot sizes), but I can let go 8 or 9 with no ill effects (I'm handwatering). Can get up to a half from a 5" and a zip from a 6".
