Final selections being made this week as clones root for these males. All have female counterparts for f2's now and both respectively show all the traits I want in f2's(aside from smoke, yet to test). After these males are proven stable in flower I will make the f2's in around 7-8 weeks.
IMG_20230918_123923.jpg

🍊 Marmalade male, most resinous of the males. Almost guaranteed f2's with female resinous/"Gold" pheno, amazing mandarin spice Golden tiger terps just made way sweeter like Marmalade. 10/10 stinks like oranges from afar.

IMG_20230918_123631.jpg

Haribo gummies phenotype- less carrot smell than the female but more sweet terps, likely more indica influence from it's mother. Definitely making f2's. One keeper fem plant vegged for about 1k seeds.

IMG_20230918_122426~2.jpg

Boeuf Bourguignon male, another pheno I consider elite in this polyhybrid top 5 at least, making F2's for sure. Very resinous, smelly like wine/cheese/meat from afar, carrots, garlic, thyme, black pepper all distinct on stem rub, sweet red wine hints too, there's a cheesy funkyness I like about this that isnt in the female. Less nutmeg/spice/woody on this plant but the overall phenotype is the same.

IMG_20230918_123158.jpg

This male needs a transfer tonight, it has withstood a bunch of stress and has been rootbound a while yet doesn't autoflower like a few other males did, I thought it was a late sexing fem but it was a really late sexing male with killer stem rub smells, like sweet lime and spruce tip jam! Maybe the most unique smelling plant in this whole group besides the "Boeuf Bourguignon" pheno.

The cold really hit this past week and a half, my haribo gummy bear pheno not taking it too well, lots of Malawi influence in this.

f2's may not make it to completion outdoors, hopefully a few do.

Virtually zero purpling despite 50°f temps at night. Green pheno through and through.

NCH3 x ETHIOPIAN.

the musky spicy base of the NCH3 with the carrot top, it makes me think of permanent markers a little. The panama I had last year had some of those aromas, on top of others, but it's interesting, I can't wait to see how pungent it becomes.

A clone and 2 fem seeds sharing the same pot, very consistent fems. I might harvest these by the end of next week. She started smelling a little pissy, next phase is the heat. I don't know how the NCH3 x ETH will hit but I'm tempted to harvest this later for a blissful nighttime buzz and hopefully get something livelier with the cross. I'm glad I still have fem seeds because I've been having the hardest time with clones this season, I just can't keep them.

She had full 14 weeks of flowering in her small 3L pot and performed very well even with some mites.

First 3 - 4 weeks flowering in sunlight at the window, then a few weeks with 100w LED and the last weeks finishing in sunlight... and it's amazing weed guys! So strong, energetic and trippy mixed with other strains in my vaporizer... Focus, smile, music, sex, sport, everything... just amazing. The resin is more silver than golden ^^ but it makes me cough and send to another reality. 🤩 :headbange:bigeye::woohoo:

This Thai dominant pheno reaks of cat piss and vinegar, mustard. It's got a really close odor profile to this resinous male

Haribo phenotype(fruity Malawi/space Queen) f2's finishing mid October, after this week I'll bring this indoors to finish before the cold front hits.

I just transferred i this "fruity malawi" phenotype so the yellowing is seeming to fade the last few days. This plant stinks of mangoes and armpits.

NCH 3 ready for harvest.

September this year was probably the nicest in 50 years, 25 days without rain. Even nicer than our summer. She filled out nicely, aromas as musky and funky as always, smelling the guava even more this year.

NCH3xETH

I'm digging the resin coverage on these as well as the growth, I wanted to extend the flowering window of the NCH3, it's also pushing the NCH3 closer to the "sativa" side of things without being extreme, certainly better suited for my climate than the NCH3 x Punto Rojo I made years ago. Aromas are fresh and piney, nothing too off yet. We'll have a few more days of amazing weather then it will be more seasonal hopefully it will finish beatifully, it's certainly off to a great start.

She was broken when transplanting into the ground but did pretty well after 3 weeks with much rain in july/august, september was warm and sunny then. Has grown to almost 2 meters from a 30cm plant 3 months ago. (y)

Amber showing up at day 51 9/15 😊
I can't seem to take a proper photograph with this new phone.

Hash plant pheno #1 - hazelnut chocolate/coffee.

Massive resin heads all of whole seem to be fully formed like the best plants of both parental lines. About a week left until harvest, maybe 10 days.

Heavy yielding indica hash plant hybrid pheno. Smells like spiced ginger candies. Unlike the first pheno it's not as chunky on the trichome heads, but still fully formed longer stalked trichomes, usually a sign of greater sativa influence.

IMG_20231006_104027.jpg

"Wild thing" this plant is impressing me more each day as it's super vigorous and resilient, carrot cake smell, I think it's either #1 or #2 on yield if it's not just fluffy sativa flower, starting to pack on resins and still spitting out new calyxes so probably 3 weeks left before harvest. It looks exactly like the golden tiger I grew last year, just a little bit faster and more resilient to stress. I think I'll reverse the "piss and vinegar" stinking female to this plant since they're both showing zero signs of herm and highly sativa dominated.

This plant is the black currant liqueur phenotype, almost ready, maybe a week to go. Hard to photograph due to location but in my top 10 in favorite for resin production, light bits of pink and purple forming on flowers just like it's mother, with big fat fluffy cotyledons make the flowers look extra pretty, hope it smokes well

{Pakistani Chitral Kush x Durban} x {Mazar I Sharif}

I made this cross a few years ago. I grew it once indoors once and finally got around to growing it again but this time outside.

An F3 PCK x Durban male was the pollen donor to a female RSC Mazar I Sharif. One is very colorful due to the PCK lineage while one is green. They're just small plants but I wanted to see how it did outdoors. It seems to be finishing pretty good here and looks like a keeper for outdoor grows here at 45° latitude in the PNW. Both were pollinated by another hybrid I made which is also finishing really well outdoors.

I always tell people that there is no secret to purple weed. Just cross anything with PCK and you're going to get colors most of the time.

Totally agree re: PCK crosses, to a greater or lesser degree at least 75% of plants hit with a purple PCK male show colour. About half of these seem to have berry scent in the resin. Also seems to lend earlier/shorter flowering in a lot of cases.
