Post-bust growing. Yes or No?

OK, say your room gets raided and you're busted.

Is that the end of your growing career? Would you consider yourself marked for life and 'hot' and so it's not worth it, or would you eventually grow again?

If you would decide to take the risk and grow again, what kind of protocol would you follow? How long would you wait?

What if it was your friend who got busted? Would you play it safe and never talk to them again, or would you wait for a certain period of time before you consider it safe to talk to them again? Is it worth it? A friend is a friend but at the same time heat is heat. When does it cool off, or does it ever?

Is a person who gets busted 'marked for life'?

If a friend of mine got busted, I might be nervous when they are in pretrial stages, and might be making a deal or whatever. But once they were sentenced and punished, then I wouldn't worry so much about them. I remember reading somewhere though about the huge number of paid informants being used in the drug war, it's sickening. So who knows, maybe you are marked for life. Sort of like how in movies, soldiers who are taken prisoner by the enemy can not really be trusted again, because you don't know if they were brainwashed, or whatever? Now I'm just rambling.

What if you were confident the friend could be trusted? I'm more concerned with a possible ongoing investigation. Are they still being tracked and watched? Seeing who they talk to as being possible leads? How long would something like that be going on for. and if they ever grow again, I would think that leo or dea would be watching to see if they start up again, no?

nothing will stop me from growing or smoking weed short of death, and if my friend gets busted that wouldnt stop me from being their friend and talking to them. being afraid is what they want, if you stand up for what you believe in they will never win.

depending on what your involved with, you can definitely be on the radar for life..

its just about a few diff agencies keepin a file on you ever after the incident.

example: your friends dad gets busted in 1971 with a half a ton of grass. That is a man that is marked for life.

What does being a marked man for life exactly entail? Will people mess with my food in restaurants? Can i not apply for a job? Or is it as harmless as not being able to work for the post office or nasa.

I think a lot of your questions depend on the severity of the situation. Was your friend busted with a closet grow and 4 plants? Or did he have a full basement or a warehouse? If he had a fancy or large setup LEO might assume he had help and/or partners and thus be more inclined to watch. Also if it was one of the larger busts, LEO seems to really like the attention they get, so they may be more inclined to dig deeper in that situation as well. It would also depend if their setup seemed like a personal grow, compared to a for profit commercial grow.

Theres alot more to grow security than just not telling anyone, and keeping wattage down.

As for starting up after a bust, i'd say u just have to go with what your gut tells ya, if u get busted with a house full of weed then ur prolly gunna b on the radar for awhile, a small personal closet grow... the police got better shit to do than worry about u getting back in the game.

As for not interacting with your friend... wtf there a friend for a reason and if u have to worry about them narcing u out then i think ur using the term "friend" too lightly

I would think that means they'll keep tabs on you so you shouldn't be doing illegal things.

But what if it's a small bust? If you have a record doesn't that mean when you get pulled over they'll see that and harass you?

The whole question comes up of why wouldn't the local police or the dea just keep a file and update it once in a while. It would be an easy way to get more busts. My guess is that most people who get caught start again eventually. No?

DiiZZii3- Most people in our circle are avoiding him like the plague, and he understands that. I have talked to this person since but still I'm paranoid, so no phone contact, and we don't hang as much. This happened only a month ago, and they are thinking of getting started again, and I don't know if that is something I should worry about or not. It is a friend, but at the same time I don't want to be on the radar. It wasn't a huge bust but more than a closet grow.
