AOC, Bernie, Warren, and others are social democrats. Social democracy is a hybrid economic system of capitalism blended with socialist elements. That would objectively land them in the center of a left/right economic scale where they can lean left and/or lean right on specific issues.

Then when you look at things on a policy by policy basis, these politicians align moreso with what the voter wants than what the two party system is willing to compromise. If someone like Bernie could bring leftists, democrats, republicans, and non voters together to vote, can you really call or consider him the far left? His policies weren't far left and he reached across the aisle. Sounds like a moderate to me. Whereas Biden got voted in as a so called moderate and he's indistinguishable from a republican.

Leftist means anti capitalist, Marxist, socialist, communist, and anarchist. We have none of these people in our government so I can't name anyone lol.
