Med man, can you please rename your strain?
I feel its pretty obvious why a grass roots movement would not want a strain named after a horrible pharmy drug.
Oxys and opiates are horrible, I spend alot of time with my patients trying to help them get off of these types of evil prescriptions..I deal with folks who have been prescribed opiates since 'nam (maybe longer than youve been alive?) and it is not fun or cool in any way shape or form.
My friend with cancer in his bone wants nothing more than to get off opiates, before we met he was prescribed 6 a day. With cannabis he's down to 1 or 2 sometimes he doesn't take any at all. This person has a deteriorated hip amongst several other debilitating conditions. Oxy, morphin, methadone, percs, vics, nothing even comes close to the relief he gets from cannabis.
He is appalled that you would name such a wonderful plant after such a horrible drug.
The relief found from cannabis far exceeds any pain killer according to every patient I have worked with.
Another friend/patient has brain injuries, TMJ, severe and extreme neck pains, and they struggled to get off of the prescriptions the doctors threw at them. They have gotten off everything thanks to cannabis. They are also not happy with the name.
What im trying to say is the people who have actually had to take oxys and opiates are not impressed at all by your name. In fact they are turned off. Maybe you dont care at all, but this is my gentle way of letting you know what im hearing in my medical community. Thoroughly unimpressed....
It is not a good name for a strain, and I think (and hope) your creative abilities far exceed this name..if your creativity is lacking perhaps we can help you find a much better name?
Perhaps take a poll and see how many folks would like to see the strain renamed?
Rename it and I'll do a test grow for ya, I grow big plants inside and out and have lots of friends who grow and are seed junkies.
