hey guys,
so i'm growing in pure canna coco in 3 gallon smart pots. i've been doing slurries consistently throughout flowering. my ph has been crazy high though. it is currently been reading at 6.4, but has gone up to 6.7 in the past. right now i'm in week 5 of flower. i have been using compost teas on a weekly basis conisisting of molasses, ewc, alfalfa, og biowar foliar and root packs and a few other things added sometimes. have been giving each plant about a litre of straight tea on a weekly basis. the plants are fed with blumats, so they are constantly very moist. a litre of straight compost tea per plant usually gives me a little bit of run off. my guess is that the tea is causing the high ph in my coco because the tea is coming out at over ph 7. i haven't been phing the tea, but have now started to ph the water a bit lower before i start brewing the tea. is the tea the cause of my high ph in the slurries? i've been flushing with low nutrient solution water but can't seem to get the ph of the coco lower than 6.4 ph. i think it may be causing lockout of phosphorus because even though recently i have been feeding very low (1 ec)...the ec of the slurries have been over 1.4ec. this leads me to believe that phosphorus is being locked out, not being taken up by the plants, and is staying in the medium because of the ph of the coco. before i started adding phosphorus boosters (aptus peakboost) and during the stretching phase of flowering with just using fasilitor, canna a+b, zyme, roots excel, cannaboost, dripclean...the ec of nutrient solution was 1.4ec to 1.6ec. the ph was still high but at a stage when not a lot of phosphorus was in the nute solution and when the plants weren't asking for a lot of it, however the ec of the slurries was right where i wanted it...around 1ec, so nothing was building up. is it the tea that is causing my coco ph to rise so high? what can i do to lower the ph?
additional info: i'm using canna coco a+b nutes with cannazyme, cannaboost, aptus peakboost, aptus fasilitor. ph of nutrient solution has been 5.8 or lower since start of flower.
