It took years, but the divide between reality and Christianity was created on the Christian side, and while I maintain a strong sense of connection to Jesus, and in fact seek to emulate him, I do not consider myself a Christian; I am quite sure that Jesus in the world today would likewise not consider himself a Christian. As expressed in the Bible, that is, not the ‘Brand Jesus’ pastors refer to when they want to tell you what HE would do, who HE would vote for, who HE loves, and how deep to dig when it’s time to pass the plate.

Funny thing, if you’ve actually read the Bible, you know that those guys are always wrong about what he would do. It’s not in their interest, it’s not in their script.

Two points of interest:

1) The name "Christian" was a mocking name given to his disciples by the Pagans of Antioch.

2) Christ taught that you should never pray where another person can see you. Churches by their very fundamental nature totally violate this teaching every time they hold mass.

“Whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, because they love to pray while standing in synagogues and on street corners so that people can see them. Truly I say to you, they have their reward. But whenever you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you”
(Matthew 6:5-6)

Bill Gates like vaccines.

For all these people pushing vaccines. I would like to see their faces if their own families were publicly vaccinated
against their will and see how they react. I get a feeling they would be the 1st jumping up and down saying no.

Bill Gates Admits Vaccines Are For Population Control

Bill Gates on Population Control

I'm not a fan of Bill Gates, but we absolutely without any doubt whatsoever desperately need to reduce human population levels. There's way too many humans. The easiest way to accomplish this would actually be to increase global affluence in conjunction with more development in green technologies. Wars, conspiracies, and eugenics won't do anything other than make the problem worse.

To be crude 'You ain't never gonna stop people fucking and making babies'.....

I once asked if Catholicism was the main reason why Filipino families were usually quite large - and was told that those with a TV and electricity had fewer babies, because they had something else (the TV) to entertain themselves with......So from that you can think that the TV is like a condom (to body and mind) - T.V. and Internet - far-far worse...lol

I agree that you can't stop them from copulating. Nor can you really expect people to stop making babies. There's many people who have a deep psychological problem that they think continued baby production will fix(one example of which would be the sort of mother who wants the adoration of a small child but loses that every time they grow past that point; so she makes another one). Religion definitely plays a factor though, or at the very least impedes progress. Its certainly a big reason why Osama Bin Laden had 53 siblings.....

It is rather strange, but understandable in a primeval sort of way that the closer some species (like humans) get to absolute disaster - the more they try to procreate, as if that basic, undeniable, primordial instinct to procreate kicks in - for the sole aim of preservation. But at the same time often there is a lack of resources to support these new humans, families and societies are torn apart because of it - so still there is great suffering because of it.

The worlds poor seem to have the largest families, and the wealthiest seem to have less children on average, particularly in the west.

Its not that all humans are evil by nature - although we do posses the capability to be so - To be evil or not to be evil is a choice we make generally - because we have good and evil in all of us - and I choose to try and be good Dog Star - and also to make the decision that doing good things are better for me than doing bad - its a matter of conscience I suppose.

There again, doing what you feel is good might look bad to other people, and we are back to the fact that what is good and what is evil is questionable - dependent on where you might be in this world, and what laws try to govern you.

Am was refer to those meme picture where they claim God was
sleeped while Holocaust was last... while truth is God didnt sleep,
a people was sleep and didnt take proper action so they choosed
for wrong.. God said "Dont kill","Dont steel",etc.. while some
of folks that create history choose different aproach..

inside Bible its writen that worst people are those that think they are a good ones.. today you have same as yesterday good people
that will made you bad stuff cause you are a different religion or different political opinion,etc.. while in same time they will claim they are the good ones that needed to beat a evil ones..

Its a crazy World out there... people think they are consciouss while thru hole history things goes opposite way.. in the end you encounter a lot of unconsciouss even in self if you are enough sincere..

We are definitly sinners, thats also a fact...

Religion seems to be a spiritual form of tribalism..
People want to feel a sense of belonging - a sense of community in how they express their spiritual affiliations. And if they have grown up from a child surrounded by a particular religion - then they are more than likely to continue to practice and identify with that religion, without even looking into any others oftentimes......

To many people in the UK football is like a religion - and they believe in the teams as Christians would the apostles.....of course this is very tribal, and interesting how this tribal instinct has operated and formed our societies since time immemorial....

Why rival football fans disagree: Watching the beautiful game activates a caveman-like reaction from the tribal region of our brains, MRI scans reveal

Nucleus accumbens is an ancient part of the brain that has survived for millennia.

It originally evolved to allow societies and tribes to grow and develop.

It is now activated when football fans watch their favourite team play.

This part of the brain is the reason different groups of fans reach a different conclusion despite watching the same game.

Football fans are a passionate bunch and scientists now understand why rival fans can never agree.

An ancient region of their brain, which has survived for thousands of years, is activated when fans watch their favourite team play.

This tribal reaction then takes control of the brain and often clouds reasonable judgement, with fans being unable to avoid seeing the game in a biased way.

They found that people who support different teams process visual information in very different ways, drawing different conclusions despite watching the same game.

Scientists claim this explains why fan bases will never agree on some refereeing decisions.

Research from the University of York sought to explain why civil discussions can descend into bitter arguments when it comes to the beautiful game.

Professor Tim Andrews from the Department of Psychology at the University of York believed there must be more to this than simple bias and devised an experiment to understand the psychological reason behind the phenomena.

He said: 'When we compared the brain activity of supporters of the same team and supporters of opposing teams, we found that activity in the sensory regions of the brain were aligned in all participants—or in other words, they all saw and heard the same game.

'But, in the frontal and subcortical regions of the brain—including areas known to be active in reward, self-identity and control of movement—there was a correlation between supporters of the same team, but significant differences between the groups.

'This is what allows fans of rival teams to develop a different understanding of the same game.'

*maybe this also applies spiritually when one person has a different understanding and belief than another on faith, creation and who is the real god etc.

Chelsea and Manchester United fans who had supported their team for an average of 15 years and had been to see them play over 25 times were used in the analysis.

The keen supporters were put in an MRI scanner and showed a montage of highlights from different games between the two Premier League titans.

The parts of the brain that control sight and sound did not vary between the factions of fans, suggesting they all saw and heard exactly the same thing.

Scans did reveal that the parts of the brain that control cognition, self identity and other complex functions reacted very differently, demonstrating a link between awareness and bias, said researchers.

An area of the brain called the nucleus accumbens, which is heavily involved in the brain's reward system, showed the greatest difference between the supporters.

This region of the brain has survived in human brains throughout evolution, spanning back to mankind's early ancestors.

It allowed the first human societies to form as it enabled primitive humans to build small social groups.

People in these close-knit groups were preferred to outsiders, which allowed for the development of hierarchies and societies.

This inherent bias translates today and manifests itself in the heat of battle on the football pitch, with fans reacting different based on their allegiance.

It also explains, according to the researchers, why football fans have a different reaction to the same visual stimuli, such as refereeing decisions or tackling ferocity.

Professor Andrews, who published his research in the specialist journal Cerebral Cortex, said: 'The results of our study offer new insight into the neural basis for group bias and the human tendency to feel comfort and reassurance when part of a group, alongside distrust of outsiders and rivals.

'The regions of the brain that showed the biggest differences between the groups of supporters - the subcortical regions positioned in the middle of the brain - are believed to have been conserved during evolution - this supports the idea that group mentality may reflect one of the more primitive human instincts'.

As of 2017, Nobel Prizes[note 1] have been awarded to 892 individuals,[1] of whom 201 or 22.5% were Jews,[note 2] although the total Jewish population comprises less than 0.2% of the world's population.[2] This means the percentage of Jewish Nobel laureates is at least 112.5 times or 11,250% above average. Various theories have been made to explain this phenomenon, which has received considerable attention.[3][4][5] Prominent late Israeli academics Dr. Elay Ben-Gal and Professor Yeshayahu Leibowitz, curious about the phenomenon, started to form an encyclopedia of Jewish Nobel laureates and interview as many as possible about their life and work

the funniest part is if you need proofs outside your own experience you are willfully ignorant to reality

there are very pragmatic examples of belief being the catalyst to our evolutionary development and that this in and of itself is necessary part of our genome for evolutionary development and to throw our the baby with the bathwater

the is a world past the sensationalized headlines and sour moments of our own lives that define the world more accurately

what a load of bollocks!

IQ test are bound to cultures and dont measure true intelligence.

"civilized race"?

what is that?

"Religion has facilitated their ability to ply science as it did the Egyptians, mayans and every other civilized race to date "

How, explain?

explain how believing in something is a catalyst to our evolutionary development?

How is belief connected to our genome and evolutionary development?

I'm not attempting to harmonize with anyone, just merely stating the fact that humans are tribal of nature, whether they form that 'Tribe' around some religious deity - or around some football team - or around some political party.

Its really up to these 'Tribe's' whether or not they can harmonize their differences with others......
