What happens if someone in the military fails a drug test?

...they say that once you fail u get the boot and get a BCD (Big Chicken Dinner) aka..."Bad Conduct Discharge"...sometimes it just "general" under other than honorable conditions.
...thats what i was shootin for.....i wanted out pretty bad after 2 years in the USMC and I failed a UA on purpose.
....well they didnt let me out as stated in my post above.
i got a general court marshal, and my punishment was a $3000 fine, busted down to PFC from Lance Corporal, and 90 days barraks restriction (i still have my hourly sign in sheet from doin' that shit).
i got to know a few others in the same boat, but they were on barraks restriction awaiting discharge for the same thing.
my boss was a civilian gov. employee and former big dawg USMC (CO)Comanding officer, and he liked me (unfortunatly)...thats why i didnt get booted.
...plus i was in the finance office, and not infantry like i wanted....if i was in infantry i would have wanted to stay, and also would have def. been booted for the bad piss.
